Flashbacks

This first chapter is Kōkatsuna when she was 13! This is her POV just so you know. I hope you enjoy chapter 1!!

I walk past my neighbors house, smelling the sweet smell of roses as the scent drifted. I was big on a mission. Being 13 is hard. Especially when your mother was one of the world's greatest under cover spies where you're from. All the training and preparation to become just like her is very tiring. I'm constantly doing working to become stronger each day. At the moment, I was running to find my friend Shubi. He'd been missing for 5 days now and it was my turn to go and search for him. I brought anything I'd possibly need on this little "mission" I think about where I saw him last and think of suspicious places where he could be at. The cave. It has to be the place. Not only do people never go in there, but it looks very creepy from on the outside. From walking to running, I move as quick as I can to get to the cave, but also keep low to make sure no one spots me. Thankfully I'm a very fast runner, so that makes it easier for me.

I finally get to this cave. It got a lot bigger since the last time I was here. I check the time on my phone. Wow!! It took only 2 minutes to get here. I had ran 1 mile too. Surprisingly, I wasn't tired at all, so I could still move just as fast. I take a peek inside the cave and start to panic a little. I didn't like going into things uninvited knowing that there could be someone dangerous in there. My friend might be in there though. I need to find him and quick. It is now time that I face my fears and go in. I step in while slightly shaking. Oh yeah. I have a flashlight with me. Thankfully. I take out the flash light from inside my pocket and turn it on. It's not that bright but it'll work. I continue to walk deeper into the cave and spot something odd. A hand? It want attached to a body, so it definitely gave me chills. Something was in here and I just knew it.

I walk up to the severed hand and noticed something about it. It had the friend ship bracelet I made my best friend last time I saw him. My eyes started to sting with tears. It was his hand. In fact, it was the bracelet I made him. It had his name on it. Shubi. Tears start to stream down my face. It combines in with the blood on the ground. I wipe my face and take the bracelet off his severed hand. I put it on. Just wearing it made me feel only grief. I start to running onward, looking for the rest of his helpless body. Is he dead? Is he alive? Those are the only questions that I can think of as I run deeper into the cave. Let's face it. I really care about Shubi. We were childhood friends and still are friends to this day.

I stop to take a ten second break when I start to hear coughing. I instantly stop my break and try to find where it's coming from. I call out trying to get the person to respond, so I can tell where they are. "Hello? Who's there? Don't worry! I'm coming to help!" I shout as loudly as I can. I hear a small sound. It was moaning sounds. Oh my god. It was Shubi.

Okay calm down Kōkatsuna. Just follow where his voice is. I move to the left and then to the right. The moaning gets louder. I'm closer. I start to move more to the right and see him lying on the ground, covered in blood. "It's okay. I got you. Just relax." I say while picking him up with all my strength. "Kōka-- Is... Is that... T-that you?" Shubi says quietly while coughing. "Oh god. What happened to you? Where do you hurt at?" I ask while in panic mode. "M-my left arm. A-and my chest. Heh. Oww.." He quietly replies. I look at his left arm. Oh god his hand is gone. How could I forget. I look at his chest. He's bleeding. Real bad for a matter of fact. "Here. Just relax. I got you. Don't forget that I'm right here with you. My flash light is on, so you can see me." I calmly state. "W-what do y-you mean? I... I can't s-see you..." He starts to say while stuttering. "What do you mean you can't see? Does your eyes hurt too?" I nervously ask. Oh god. What's wrong with his eyes. This is so scary. "I... I just only s-see black. T-they don't hurt..... I... I was attacked..... By a man..... In w-white....." Shubi says right before he passes out.

What ever was here meant bad news. At least I'm prepared for a fight. Man did this person who hurt my friend make me beyond angry. I'm ready to kill. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
