~Taylor's PoV~
School is always long and boring, the only upside is math and since that class had already ended I was bored out of my mind.
I sat there staring at the bored taking notes as the teacher clicked through the PowerPoint. History was an interesting subject, it could be slow most of the times and on rare occasion I'll actually have a little fun.
The classroom door opened and in came the new student. His eyes instantly found me and I sucked in a breath and looked back to the board.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw him sit down in the desk next to mine, opening up his back pack and rummaging through it.
'Damn I forgot my binder in Science...how the hell am I supposed to take notes?!'
I felt my lips twitch up, and turned slightly to see him putting his bag down slowly and looking around him, his desk was empty and he scratched the back of his neck nervously.
'If I fail any of my classes dad will kill me'
I rolled my eyes and scooped up my bag, pulling out a couple fresh sheets of paper.I put them on his desk, and zipped my bag back up and placed it next to me.
He cleared his throat and muttered a 'thank you' while I simply nodded in return.
Carrie was gonna flip when she found out I sat next to him, which is why I plan on keeping it from her.
You know when you watch some corny teen movie and that group of girls squeals when the cute guy says a simple Hello, that's how she is...with a little extra.
The last time it happened was when one of the jocks accidentally bumped into me. He said sorry and gave me a smile, and Carrie and I walked away, and as we rounded the corner she started squealing and jumping around.
To this day she claims that he likes me because he apologized and will occasionally smile and wave at me. But that was only because I helped him with some homework.
'Definitely different'
I glanced over at him to find him already staring at me. I blinked in surprise and he did the same before both of us turned away quickly. I couldn't help the small smile that pulled the corners of my lips up.
Okay I'll admit...he was pretty cute, and so far his thoughts seemed to be alright and hopefully they stayed that way.
When the bell finally rung, signaling the day was over, I threw my pencil in my bag and tried shoving my notebook after it when a couple of my notes slid out.
I sighed and bent down to pick it up the same time someone's shoe came down on it before moving away quickly. I picked up my notes and stood from my crouched position to see the new kid.
I quickly put my notes into my bag, not caring if they got ruined.
"Uh sorry, I was just uh...yeah," he stuttered going silent and looking down.
A small laugh escaped me involuntarily while I zipped up my bag and slid it onto my shoulder,"Don't worry about it," I replied, trying to ease the tense atmosphere.
He looked up and smiled brightly, a smile that made me want to smile in return.
"I didn't catch your name," he stated, following after me as we went along with the rest of the crowd that was shoving their way through to get home.
People shoved each other to get out, some people seemed to stop in the middle of the hallway while everyone around them shoved their way through another group. Laughter filled the area as people tried to talk over the other, like usual it was chaotic.
