I was with my best friend Layla, we were walking to Will's house. Yes, as in Will Stronghold, son of Jetstream and The Commander. Or better known as Josie and Steve Stronghold real estate agents. As we were walking up the driveway, I turned to Layla. "You know, you and Will would make such a cute couple", I said to her cheerfully. I'm what you would call, a shipper. Not as in delivery, but as in fangirl shipping. Layla turned to me astonished that I would say such a thing at a time like this. "Musa, as much as you 'ship' me and Will, we will forever be best friends 'till the end", she said putting quotation marks around the word ship. She never understood why I would bring it upon myself to pair up people.

We were talking as fast as we could before we reached the house so one of us could get the last word. As I was just about to say a witty remark to Layla, the front door opened revealing Josie Stronghold. "Hello girls, I knew I heard someone outside talking up a storm", Josie said with a knowingly look on her face. She knows about me wanting Layla and her son Will to be together, while Layla tries to deny any feelings for Will as more than just friends. "Oh, come in girls, you need to be inside to get ready for your first day of High school", she said with a motherly smile. I always loved Josie Stronghold like my own mother, she was there for me, like a mother should be.

As Layla and I was walking in the house, Layla gave me a smug look indicating that she won the mini argument. We went into the kitchen to wait for Steve Stronghold and our friend Will. Josie had asked Layla if she wanted some breakfast, as always, Layla had politely declined the offer. Me on the other hand had tried to say no, but my stomach thought it was a good idea to rumble in hunger. Josie and Layla laughed a bit as I looked down and blushed, embarrassed by the fact my stomach had betrayed me. 'Stupid stomach! You just had to growl', I thought. "It's a good thing I made extra toast and sausage then", Josie said while trying not to spill the orange juice she was sitting down for Layla. She then gave me a plate full of sausage and a piece of toast wrapped in a blue napkin alongside with a glass of milk.

I heard two pairs of footsteps come down the stairs when I was halfway through with the plate of sausages. There in a suit was Steve Stronghold without his glasses which was apart of his 'human' disguise. Steve had sat down at the table and Layla moved her fingers across one side of her face so Steve can put his glasses on. He did just that as Will came into the kitchen saying hi to Layla and me. As being part wolf, literally, I smelled sweat coming from Will. 'I guess he is still trying to unlock his superpower', I thought sadly. Layla had her powers figured out while Will and I still don't know ours. Of course, I had a wolf tail and ears I can hide by concentrating, but it doesn't mean I'll get powers like my mom. Or any at all.

"Musa, your ears and tail are showing", Will said to me. I quickly hid my ears and tail before someone walked into view of the window that had the blinds opened. I was finishing up the toast and tossed the napkin into the trash can when suddenly a phone rings. Josie had picked up her work phone, but it wasn't the phone she thought it was. Steve said it was the mayor who needed help with a giant robot who was terrorizing the town. Will, Layla, and me looked at each other waiting for the Stronghold adults to spring into action to once again, save the day. "I wanted to see the kids get on the bus for there first day of High school", Josie said disappointed as she left with her husband.
