"We are gathered here today to celebrate the marriage of Oliver Frahler and Allison Barren."
I looked into Ollie's bright green eyes and began to tear up. He was standing. I hadn't looked up at him like this in over a year. Although his paralysis hadn't miraculously been cured, his hard work in physical therapy had payed off and he was using braces to stand up beside me.
I had never been more proud of someone in my life.
We exchanged vows, and finally, a kiss. As my lips met his, I remembered our first kiss at the fun fair nearly two years ago. Oliver was my first love, and he will always be my only.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you Mr. and Mrs. Frahler."
We held hands and lifted them up to the sky. I smiled at the girls, who were clapping in their front row seats alongside Oliver's parents and my dad.
I couldn't believe how much Maddy and Olivia had grown up. Although they were just over a year old, their personalities had already blossomed and they were their own little people. Olivia was outgoing and funny, just like her Auntie Halle, my best friend. Maddie was a mixture of both Oliver and myself. She was sweet and cuddly, but also had a sassy side.
I gave Oliver one final hug, tears of joy streaming down my face. I couldn't believe we were married, and I couldn't be happier.
