Noelle

I placed the last brown box in my car before I stepped inside my mothers house. "Mom, I'm leaving now." I shout from downstairs hoping she can hear me from up stairs.

She walked down the stairs, her blonde hair draped over her shoulders. She had emerald eyes that shined exactly like a gem. She and I looked nothing alike, I had light blue eyes and my hair was blonde and reached mid waist with ombré tips. My mother was tall and I never got the tallness gene seeing as I'm super short.

Today, I was moving to Seattle because I got my first job there. My mother and I walked over to my Mercedes-Benz that I had gotten for my twenty-first birthday a few months ago. "My Elle, I'm going to miss you so much," My mother said and pulled me into one of her bone crushing hugs.

"Mum," I chuckle, "I'm only moving to Seattle, it's not that far." I say as I release myself from her tight hug.

She looks at me as if she's about to cry, "I know, but my baby is moving four hours away. I'm going to miss you so much! I'll call three times a day, remember the "stranger danger" policy, I've labeled all your medication, so you shouldn't get co--"

I chuckle and interrupt her, "Mom, Im not a five year old anymore, I know what I'm doing, and I'll be absolutely fine. You can always come and visit me and I'll make it my mission to come back home, whenever I can. Okay? Plus it's much better for me to get away from this place." I look down at my watch and said my last goodbyes, "Mom, I've got to get going if I want to make it in time."

I walk over to close the boot of my car and shut it before I got into my car. I started the car, the engine roared and the lights were as bright as the sun on a really hot day, I rolled down my window and waved goodbye to my mother before I drove away.

Sighing, I looked in my rear view mirror and saw my mother getting smaller and smaller and I knew that this was it. Once I was out of this place I wasn't coming back.

I wore my sunglasses and turned up the volume up and was ready to escape like nothing on earth! This is the only opportunity I had and I wasn't going to leave it behind.

Ah, this was going to be a long ass ride, but it would be worth it in the end.

I stuck my hand out the window, my hair being blown by the warm Seattle breeze. Wow, Seattle was really beautiful. This was my first time ever traveling to Seattle, but I'm glad I finally did get the opportunity to do so; let alone work here.

I drove down to where I would be staying for the next few months or so. The place was filled with lots of trees and was hidden because of all of them. The entrance read "Villa Le Roux" and there was a security guard that would obviously open and close the gate for the residents. This place was absolutely drop dead gorgeous. "Hi.." I say before reading the security guards name tag, "Andrew, my name is Noelle and I've been told that I need to receive my apartment keys from you."

Andrew gave me my keys and kindly allocated me to my parking area. Thanking him, I drove slowly and took in the scenery. There were lots of houses, but not huge ones; the houses only contained one or two rooms and wasn't suitable for big families.

The houses were a very dull but the grass and flowers around the houses were very bright and colorful. The flowers also bloomed from the walls, making the walls look more vibrant and colorful. There were a few people walking around the apartments.
