Changes

A little girl's tears

Recap-
"We're going on a little... Umm, trip tomorrow"
"Where to?!" The little girl cried, excited.
"Back to my home country, Scotland"
The little girl froze, Scotland?
"For how long?" She asked
"Forever."

"Papa, Papa!!" Sarah cried down the hall as she ran to her Papa's room
"What, what?" He said, humourous ad always.
"We're moving tomorrow!!" Sarah said, looking forward to spending all of  the day after with her Papa.
"Well... That's nice" He muttered, suddenly looking upset.
"Papa? Whats wrong?" She asked
"Well you see, my little mouse, I'm not coming with you"
Sarah just stood, shocked and stared at her Papa.
"No... Papa, I can't go away from you!!" She cried, tears pricking her eyes.
"I'm sorry" He said, as he picked her up and hugged her tightly.
"No!!" Sarah screamed into his shoulder, "I won't leave you!!!"

The Next Day

Sarah woke and glanced to her small suitcase in the corner, she couldn't believe she was leaving her Papa. She looked over to the small clock on her bedside drawer. It read 5:30 am. She snuck out of her bed to her Papa's room.

"What are you doing up so early my little mouse?" He whispered as she scrambled up into his bed.
"I wanted to see you" She said, nearly crying just at the sight of him.
"That's sweet of you, but you need to get some rest before your flight"
It was at these words that Sarah burst into tears.
"Ohno... Don't cry, I'll be sure to call you and send cards once you get there"
"Yeah... But I won't see you!"
...
Silence...
Her Papa couldn't do anything, he knew that he couldn't stop the move and what his daughter said was true.
