Morning shone it's way through the white cotton curtains in Stevie's room. Stevie rolled over and noticed Lindsey sleeping. Truthfully she had thought that it had all been a dream... or maybe a dream come true.
"Lindsey..." she whispered. Of course she got no response. She placed her lips on his and held the side of his face. He groaned and his eyes fluttered open.
"Good morning" he said between furious intense kisses on Stevie's lips. she pulled back and looked him in the eyes, "We should get up." Stevie threw the covers off and proceeded to get up when she felt a hand on her arm, forbidding her to leave, "I'm so cold" he teased.
"Poor you." Stevie smiled almost giggling at the amount that Lindsey wanted her.
"Come here."
Stevie pounced on Lindsey, laughing as he wrapped his arms tightly around her waist, pulling her in for a long kiss. She gasped as he moved his arm arm to rest on the side of her leg he grabbed her thigh before she flipped on top of him. He kissed her neck, she giggled. God he loved her, her beauty was contagious, and made him want more of her.
"Lindsey-" she protest as he smothered her with warm kisses
"Linds I have to shower"
you could say that he took that as a cue. He sat up, not breaking their embrace and pulled her to him. He picked her up swiftly and carried her to the bathroom. It was almost too much for Stevie. She hadn't been loved like this in a long time and it killed her that he would have to go home. God only knows what story he will tell his wife about why he 'had' to spend the night. She hoped it would be ok.
He set her down on the side of the tub and turned the shower on, quickly returning to Stevie who sat patiently. He slid the straps of her nightgown off and brought her into the shower where he loved her with no reservations, he literally couldn't keep his hands off of her. Although all of this might seem like lust, there really was an intense love in this moment. The love that no one could deny. A love that could hurt or heal... this is it.
--One Week Later--
"I don't know what to do Karen."
Karen, the ever so sassy assistant rolled her eyes, but her expression softened when she saw tears brimming in Stevie's bambi eyes. "Well... you know how I feel about Lindsey, Stevie." Stevie nodded her head sadly, she knew that if she kept it up, it would just be an affair, he would never leave his wife and Stevie wasn't so sure she wanted him to anyway. She didn't want to be a home-wrecker... again.
"He's gonna be here in like... 5 minutes. shit Karen!"
"Look Stevie, your last show is tonight and-"
there was a knock at her dressing room door, and she knew who it was.
"come in"
"Hi" Lindsey went in for a hug but Stevie moved away. "No Lindsey." He was confused
"I'm sorry did i miss something? Because one week ago at this exact time... I had you in the shower."
"Look Linds... I've been thinking a lot and I don't want to do this."
"Do what?" Lindsey was getting nervous. Was he really going to lose her again?
"I don't think... I can't do this again Lindsey."
She continued, "I can't get my heart broken again."
He had never felt so defeated, he looked down at the floor and then back in her eyes, her big beautiful eyes.
"I can't bear the thought of hurting you."
"I'm sorry"
