A Whisper in the Air

Chapter 1

The past few days in Magnolia had been quite calm. The popular guild, Fairy Tail, wasn't causing much ruckus and everything seemed normal. Until a mysterious cloaked person flung open the guild's doors, the ground vibrating as they slammed against the walls. The guild fell silent, a rare occurrence for Fairy Tail.

"Where is Makarov Dreyar?" A high pitch rang from her mouth. Her stance was wide, making her seem brave and powerful.

Erza stepped forward, "what do you want with Master Makarov?" She demanded, her voice booming across the guild. Erza eyed up the cloaked woman, ready to challenge her at the drop of a dime.

"That is non of your business. I need to speak with your master, privately," the glint of her eye shone from under her hood, as if she were daring the red headed warrior to talk back.

Mirajane held back Erza as she began to fume. "I'll take you to his office," the silver haired girl walked up to the second story, the mysterious woman following closely, shoving her shoulder as she brushed past Erza, knocking her off guard.

As the guild watched the woman enter the master's office with shock the whispers began to start. In a few moments the entire guild were discussing the stand off between the two women.

"Who was that?" Lucy asked Natsu, who seemed just as intrigued, and slightly ticked off.

"I don't know, but I don't like the smell of her. She seemed... Off," Natsu scrunched up his nose while looking at the master's office door, as if he couldn't stand the stench of it.

"She could just be someone wanting to join the guild," Grey chipped in, sounding bored, his head laying in his palm.

"I don't think so, she didn't seem like the 'joining the guild' type," Erza scowled, her face red with anger at the audacity of the mystery woman.

"Well maybe-" Lucy began but was interrupted by the sound of a door creaking open. The guild went silent as they saw three people leave Makarov's office.

The cloaked woman walked down the stairs, seeming to be proud, followed by Makarov and Mirajane. The smirk on her face not needing to be shown to know it was there. She walked across the guild and turned to face the bar, no sounds made except those of her shoes.

Then, a gruff voice shot up out of the silence, turning the gazes of everyone in the guild, "Alright, you brats, we've been challenged by the guild, Devil's Cupids, to a fight."

This is just an introduction, so it isn't that long. But I promise to make the chapters longer in this book!
