Ari teleported behind Bri. It was easy to teleport as the space was open and ceiling-free. He kicked Bri in the back, which knocked him onto the mat that lay upon the rooftop floor. Bri tumbled as a javelin flew from a weapons rack to his outstretched hand. He quickly turned around and swept Ari's feet with the pole of his spear. Ari fell on his face, his skin pressed onto the floor. His cheeks sunk into the soft surface, their warmth drained into the mat. His sparring partner scrambled up and leaned over Ari.

"Ouch." He said, pushing himself back up. Ari and Bri had attempted to train, as having a case meant that they needed to stay in shape, both in the physical and powered sense. Bri laughed and offered a hand, which Ari then took. With a group effort they brought Ari back to his feet. Only now was there a slight breeze, which kindly asked Ari to leave. Ari ignored the offer, while he rubbed his nose. "Damn, telekinesis sure does help."

"I work with my power as opposed to working for my power." Bri recited, smiling to himself at how wise he sounded. The wind started to pick up.

"What does that even mean?"

"Shut up." Bri glared at Ari then broke into a wide smile. "Sucks I can't move people, though." Bri obeyed the mighty wind gods and led the way back to the telepad, as he placed an arm over Ari's shoulder.

"That'd be pretty cool." Ari nodded, even though he'd hate for Bri to be able to move people. He was already screwing with Ari's day with the telekinesis strength he had, if he were able to move people Ari would live everyday in constant fear of what prank Bri would pull next.

"Yeah, my powers are the strongest of it's kind, but they still suck."

"I guess so." Ari shrugged. He felt that telekinesis was very handy, but it must be hard when Bri was surrounded by people who were so much better than him.

"'I guess so'? Dude, show me some sympathy or something." Bri removed his hand from Ari's shoulder and placed his hands on his hips, pausing in his step, right in front of the telepad, to face Ari.

"Meh." Ari smirks and shrugs again. He jumped onto the telepad, as he left Bri to follow. "I don't understand why we are the only ones who get to use this thing." Ari said as he tapped the now very familiar transportation device with his foot. Bri looked at the object and furrowed his brows as he thought.

"Well, we used to be more depended on, so they didn't let other people use them or else it'd get clogged." Ari raised an eyebrow. He had always felt it had something to do with the public seeing them or something. Bri just gave a shrug. "Or some shit like that."

"Huh. That's cool." Ari was still confused as to why the cops didn't use it, but he figured he'd get the same answer that Bri gave to his other question. He really didn't understand the city.

As Bri stepped onto the telepad, Ari took one last look at the view. Although he may never understand it, the city did look beautiful from so high up. The rays of sun, that were slowly draining in the horizon, shone through the cracks of the buildings making it look like a holy scene. Ari used to sit on his roof to watch the sunrise and would always watch the sun set behind the trees of that park near his home. He was always fascinated by the beauty of nature. Ari sighed before he finally returned back home after a long day of training. The dimmed lights of the living room and kitchen meant that Muse and Marissa were in their rooms.

"I'm gonna go to bed. Goodnight." Bri gave a yawn, to validate his statement. He stepped down from the telepad and walked past the couch and into the hallway.

"At eight?" Ari called. "Whoakay, grandma."

"Shut up!" His voice echoed, before a door opened then closed. Ari chuckled as he plopped down on the couch. He was a couple of minutes late, but he'd be able to catch the last half of that Korean drama.
