The heat hit me like a warm blanket. I assume it would take a while to get used to the tropical weather in relation to dramatic weather of northern Nevada. It did make me a little sad over the fact that I wouldn't see snow again.

"Lillian!" My dad yelled. I stared at him, still in front of the private jet we used to fly here to Australia. My dad was already at the limousine hired to take us to the new mansion my dad bought.

"We have to get going or I'm going to be late for my important meeting."
I nodded and started to walk down the runway. My heeled leather boots made soft clicks as my heals hit the ground. I straightened out the white skirt and felt immediately boiled to a crisp inside the high neck, long sleeve black shirt. My blonde hair curled over my shoulders didn't help. My neck was slowly cooking away and I made a mental note to change into something more suited for the weather.

My dad glanced at his watch and opened the door for me to slide in. I relaxed against the far couch and took off the dark shades I was wearing, placing them beside me. I was getting tired of the tinted colours that were normally vibrant here. Anyways, I loved the look of my sea green eyes that sparkled in the sun.

"Lillian, I'm truly sorry that I have to push you in such a rush. Originally we were supposed to get here yesterday so we could have some time to settle in, but Saturdays are always business day. I'm going to be meeting with another acquaintance  who I'm going to be working with."

I casually smiled. "Dad, it's okay. Just don't mention me to this man. If he has a child in my school, I don't want to be known for being incredibly wealthy. You know how that turned out for my last school."

The memories filled me. It was when I started going to public school, everyone found out I was incredibly rich and everyone wanted to be my friend. I had too much attention and all anyone wanted was to use me to get a part of my wealth. I could never tell the difference between real and fake friends. It would be better off staying a normal, not rich girl.

My dad gave me a hug and I looked out the window to see a wealthy house. This seemed to be the Bennet's house. "Don't worry, I won't mention. See you at home. Feel free to explore the community and if you go out, don't stay out too long."

"I won't." I waved goodbye as my father stepped out of the vehicle and I started driving away.

It was about a five minute drive before the massive house that was bought was in front of me. I shook my head. Why would we need such a large house for two? Surely he doesn't expect me to throw big parties. I was never a huge party lover.

I got out of the limousine and walked up the elaborate stone driveway. There were already multiple sports cars and motorcycles as well as large moving vans dragging box after box into the house.

I strolled into the open front room. There was a simple chandelier with a modern design that hung from the roof and a spiral staircase leading to the second floor. The kitchen was down a hallway in front of me and I remember that my dad mentioned there being a movie theatre in the basement.

I walked up the stairs and walked while the workers pointed me in the direction of where they were unpacking my stuff. I walked through the tall double doors and into the room that was going to be my bedroom. There were multiple boxes along the side of the wall and a door that I assumed led to a closet on the wall to my left. On the wall across from me was a double set of fancy glass doors leading to a large balcony. I strolled across the room and stepped outside into the warm breeze. I breathed in and could smell the salt from the ocean. I was glad that the balcony held a perfect view of the ocean and smiled at the private beach and boat dock at the back of the house. A little further down from the house was a fairly large cliff and I couldn't wait to go cliff jumping... that is if it is safe.
