Rain fell down on the beach house, causing loud thuds to be heard on the roof. The windows were soaked and were impossible to see through. The beach, once sunny and bright, was now dark and wet.
Tina sat on the black leather couch in the living room, playing with her black hair out of boredom. Louise walked up and sat next to her. Tina noticed Logan's hoodie being worn by Louise which caused her to sit up in alarm.
"Hey! Is that Logan's...," Tina began to say, pointing at Louise's surprising new piece of attire. Louise nodded, blushing and smiling.
Tina smiled, as well. "So... do you now see what I mean?"
Louise looked at her, tilting her head in confusion. "See what?"
Tina face-palmed. "Louise....Logan likes you!"
This statement caused Louise to immediately blush. "W... what? He doesn't like me!"
Tina smiled at how blind Louise was being. "Come on, Louise. Why else would he give you his hoodie?"
Louise looked down at the hoodie. "He just didn't want me to be cold, that's all!"
Tina continued, "Why else was he a nervous wreck when he talking to you today?"
"He's not a nervous wreck!" Louise replied hastily, her cheeks getting a brighter shade of pink every second.
"Why else would he call you ADORABLE?" Tina said, starting to grow frustrated with Louise's denial.
"Why the hell did she have hear Logan call me that this morning" Louise thought
"L-look, he... he doesn't like me!" Louise exclaimed, also growing frustrated.
"Yes, he does!"
"No, he doesn't!"
"YES, HE DOES!"
"NO, HE DOESN'T!"
"WHY WOULDN'T HE?!"
"BECAUSE I'M NOT NORMAL!"
Tina looked shockingly at Louise, looking down in shame after her confession. "I... I'm not normal. I'm a little kid who wears pink bunny ears every day. I've never been popular or had even that many friends, I may as be from another dimension. He's cute and funny and caring and sweet and just perfect...why would he want to have a weird girl like me as his girlfriend?"
"Louise... doesn't Logan pull pranks with you and goes along with your crazy plans? I think he's thrown any strand of normal in his life away when he first met you!" Tina said.
Louise shook her head. "No, you don't understand. He only sees me as his weird best friend. The one he will always hang out with and be friends with. He'll never see me as girlfriend material. I try to look nice and that doesn't work then I try to get his attention and that doesn't work...."
Tina raises her hands up, shocked at Louise's obliviousness. "Y... You didn't see Logan drooling over you?"
Louise shook her head and pointed her thumb behind her. "No. All I saw was Logan drooling over Talia."
Tina looked at where Louise was pointing. She saw Logan and Talia standing and talking. Logan told a joke, which caused Talia to laugh and playfully push him away. She was blushing, giving Logan her full undivided attention.
Tina looked back at Louise. "Actually, it looks like it's the other way around."
Louise continued to look down, depressed. "They both like each other. I'm really, really happy for them. I-I'll help in any way I can."
Louise then ran upstairs, tears welling up in her eyes. Tina watched her run, not believing that Louisethought she was not good enough to be Logan's girlfriend.
As thoughts ran through Tina head, Gene and Daryl walked up and sat next to her on the couch. Gene was eating popcorn that Linda made for him.
"Hey, Tina!" Gene greeted as he was crunching on handfuls of popcorn.
"Hey, guys," Tina said, not matching his enthusiasm. The two boys looked at her in concern.
"What's wrong?" Daryl asked.
"Oh, it's nothing," Tina replied, still deep in thought. "It's just that Louise really likes Logan and she doesn't think he'd ever like her back."
After hearing this, Gene began to choke on his popcorn out of surprise. He coughed spastically and Daryl gave him the heimlich maneuver. After taking some deep breathes, him and Daryl looked at Tina in shock.
"WHAT?!" they both said in unison. Tina's eyes widened.
"Oops," she said. The two boys looked back at Logan, who was still talking to Talia. They then looked back at Tina, their minds racing.
"W... wait, so... Louise likes... Logan?!" Gene asked, concentrating really hard, trying to solve the puzzle that is the drama he was just thrown into.
"Uh... yeah," Tina replied, mad at herself for accidentally spilling Louise's secret.
"Louise? Our Louise?" Daryl asked.
"What other bunny ear wearing, hell raisers called Louise do you know?" Tina asked sarcastically. Daryl just looked away, dumbfounded.
"I had no idea. On my gosh, we need to tell him!" Gene yelled, getting up to run towards Logan. Much to his surprise, Gene was tackled by Tina.
"No! You can't tell him!" Tina whispered angrily. She held down Gene, who was surprised by her strength.
"Why?" Daryl asked, gently pulling Tina off her own brother.
"Because I promised to keep it a secret," she replied. She then rolled her eyes. "Also... Talia also likes him."
They both, once again, looked at her in shock. "When did Logan get so popular with the ladies?!" Daryl yelled, frustrated that he didn't have the same luck.
"I don't know, but... we need to find a way to get them together," Tina said. When she turned away, Gene and Daryl looked at each other, smiling slyfully. Little did Tina know, they already had a plan.
To be continued...
