The last few days have been hell for you and Jack. While he had to work and find the rat you had to stay in his home, watched by his boots and faithful worker. They would always look around the house and check on you from time to time and then leave without a word. It pissed you of to say the least, sure Jack was busy and the leader of hyperion, but that didn't gave him the permission to just lock you up in his home. You wanted to help him find the rat, even if that meant bringing yourself in danger and you were going to tell him that as soon as he would be home.

Meanwhile on the Helios

"What do you mean with; The security system had a shut down?!" Jack shouted at one of his technology experts. The man shuddered and nervously took the hat from his head, rubbing the back of his neck."I-I mean that s-someone hacked the system, deactivated it, it was shut down sir" Jack sighed as he layed his forehead on his desk, this was the 5th technology expert he talked to today and no one could tell him what exactly caused the shut down."So you're telling me that my system, for what I payed thousands of dollars, was hacked by some bandit scum?!" The man gulped."N-Not quite sir, all I'm saying is that someone with knowledge and access to our server hacked our system" Jack lifted his head from the desk and looked at him, non of the vault hunters could possibly have the knowledge of hacking the system they didn't even had access to their server, neither his staff. The only persons he knew who had both the access and knowledge were Wilhelm, Professor (random character) Hutsen, himself and Angel. Jack dismissed the man who gladly walked out of the office. He ran a hand through his hair frustrated as he grabbed the picture frame on his desk. It showed Angel when she was a child, she sat on his shoulders and was laughing. Jack smiled sadly as he traced the frame."My little angel, please don't be the one who betrayed me" he gently sat the picture back down, stood up and grabbed the gun that was hidden in his desk.

Your pov

You impatiently stared at the door, back to the clock and to the door again. Your tail swished behind you, your ears were flat. It was past 11pm, Jack said he would be back home at 8pm, you were worried but also mad this wasn't the first time that he came home later than promised. The lock of the door clicked as you crossed your arms in front of your chest. The door opened with a creaking sound as Jack walked in, he locked it behind him again and looked at you. He looked tired and stressed but you would stand your ground."Do you know what time it is Jack?" you asked walking closer to him. He looked at the clock and his eyes widened, he mouthed a oh fuck as he turned back to you."Look I know I'm la-" you cut him of. "3 hours Jack! I was worried about you, you didn't even call!" he looked at you shocked at your raised voice, as he was about to say something you interupted him again."I barely see you, you lock me in here the whole day, your bots won't even talk to me and to top it all you don't even tell me what's going on!" you hissed at him. Jacks face turned serious as he walked to you, placing both hands on your shoulders."You want to know what's going on? What's going on is that there is a possibility that my beloved daughter, my own blood betrayed me!" you looked at him shocked."Y-Your daughter, why would she do that?" Jack looked down."I don't know, I mean it's only a chance but if she really did betray me then..." Jacks body started to shake, he lifted his face as a few tears rolled down."Then what?" you hestitatly asked as you cupped his face. You whipped his tears with your thumbs away and his gaze bore into your eyes. He took your hands in his and leaned closer to your face."Don't worry about it, Angel wouldn't betray us" he mumbled before he kissed you. You kissed back, wrapping your arms around his neck as he wrapped his around your waist. As you broke apart you placed your forehead against his chest as Jack continued to hold you."You'll accompany from now on, I want you at my side so I know you're safe" he said seriously, kissing your temple. You nodded against his chest, he smiled letting go of you as you both walked to your bedroom. You layed down in your hyperion pj's as Jack climbed in next to you, he himself only wore a plain yellow shirt and black boxers. You snuggled yourself to him, purring as your head rested on his chest. Jack lazily petted you as you slowly drifted to sleep."Goodnight (Y/N)" he whispered as you fell into a peaceful sleep in his hold.
