Hello! I just wanted to say that although I wrote this story, Hetalia is unfortunately not mine, and neither is the VeraVerse! The VeraVerse was written by George DeValier, and you can find his stories on fanfiction.net. In the VeraVerse series there was a mention of a Danish pilot and a Norwegian resistance leader. Aka, Mathias and Lukas. I love DenNor a lot, and decided to write this story to explain what I think happened to those to in the VeraVerse since DeValier never went into detail about their story. I also added some SuFin, and I tried to line it up as close as possible with the SuFin in one of the original VeraVerse fics: Lily in The Lamplight. As in all of the VeraVerse fics, the title is a song. Wish Me Luck As You Wave Me Goodbye is a song by Vera Lynn during ww2, and you should totally check it out!
Also, a reminder that I am NOT a historian! I tried to keep this as historically accurate as possible, but I had some difficulty finding accurate information on the Nordics during World War Two. Enjoy, and please comment! Feedback really helps and keeps me motivated to write!
