Chapter 5

Aria's Pov

"Why are you in such a good mood miss Summers" asks Mason as i sit down next to him where we eat our lunch. At our school there is no cafeteria there is a tuckshop and a few tables over the school. But mostly you just sit where ever.

My group sits on a grass hill right in the middle of the school.

Our area is near, a bin, a bathroom, no teachers come around and the tuckshop is about 20 meters away.

But another group has found a liking to our spot in the past 2 months.

Yup you guessed it the bad boy group. I usually never dared to look over at them but because today i found out one of them arent 100% pure evil i snuck a quick glance which turned into sneaking 'quick glances' every 3 minutes.

After about 20 minutes of glancing this time ryder was looking at me.

I looked away quickly. Too quickly and i was caught.

"For the love of potato chips where are you looking every 3 seconds?!" Bella adds causing Mason and Luke to end their conversation.

I dont look up. Everyone i assume looks at me for a bit them starts talking again.

When the awkwardness is dissolved i sit up straight and eat my delicious cheese and ham sandwich.

When i am about to question Tessa on how her Math's quiz went i hear a faint shout.

"Aria! Aria.... SUMMERS?!" I heard and i knew exactly who it was. Ryder.

Maybe if you ignore him he will disappear.... Ignore....ignore.... Ignore.

I hear the yelling stop and i look back up at Tessa to continue my question for her. But all their heads are turned behind me.

Mason's arm tightens on my shoulder,

Luke is sitting up straight trying to act tough,

Tessa is clutching her book and fork in her hand staring behind me.

Bella for a second even looks scared. So if bella looks worried that means he is standing right behind me.

"Aria sweetie its rude to ignore" i hear Ryder's voice from about 1/4 of a meter behind me.

"W-What are you doing here Ryder!" says Luke.

Of course my BOYFRIEND wouldnt interfere with the guy who just called me sweetie... how dare i get excited ..!

"Oh relax Huston" says Ryder and i see him rolling his eyes. "I just need to talk to the little nerd over here" he says and grabs Mason's arm and gives it back to him pushing him slightly on the way.

He grabs my hands that are slightly shaking in my lap.

He pulls me along. I look back at Mason with hope he will defend me, his GIRLFRIEND!

When i turn i see Mason pushing his hands to stand.

"Dont even try it Mason, i have 6 more suspensions to use before i am expelled and i utterly happy with rearranging your face and using up one" Ryder threatens and Mason's butt immediently sits back on the ground.

What if Ryder was an axe murderer.

Would Mason just cower out and sit down and let me get killed.

Am i right?!

When my feet are held in place by Ryder stopping he whispers in my ear "i wont hurt you darlin you're my friend" he said a little to seductively for a 'friend'.

"What do you want Ryder?" i ask crossing my arms preventing him from getting any closer.

"Oh nothing i took your pencil in English so i wanted to give it back" he smiled a cheeky grin.

"We didnt even write anything today?!" i say and its as if his sentimental bad boy guard was broken and as if im talking to a best friend.

Is that weird?

"Yes i know silly. i just took it so i could come to you at lunch and show you how weak, useless, defenseless, boring, plain your douche boyfriend is" he said.

I glared at him.

"Ahhhh again silence..." he smiles.

"Goodbye Ryder" i say and he smiles and walks off but winks before he does so.

I walk back ready from the interrogation.

"ARIA!" I hear when i am in ears reach.

"Why the hell did Mr Bad Boy Ryder come over here to talk to YOU for!?" yells Bella wanting to know the gossip as per usual.

"Nothing he just gave me back my pencil" i say and shove the pencil into its spot in my bag.

"Why did Ryder use your pencil" whispered Mason. Oh look who finally said something.

"Um... the teacher made me lend it" i lied. I dont want to keep talking about Ryder.

By the end of the day i didnt want to talk to Mason anymore because frankly his actions or his 'lack' of any action at lunch disgusted me. I wanted to walk home instead of him taking me.

I walk out the gates and i get a text.

From Ryder:

Hey sweetie, did u dump him or something?

To Ryder:

No actually... why?

From Ryder:

Oh you actually replied, see you in a second with zac xx

Did i just get 'xx' from Mr rebellious Ryder!

Anyway that is isnt important.

He is walking home with me... with ZAC?! honestly he is scary as fuc-fudge!

But wow, attractive as hell! like wow! his body is perfection and lord dont let Mason hear but SEX ON LEGS!

He's buff, perfect hair, beautiful blue eyes! just ugh! why must that group be so attractive!

But they arent the normal people who i would associate with.

But i guess i cant judge because i thought Ryder was horrible but i guess he isnt as bad now. Not perfect just not as bad as i imagined.

Maybe Zac is the same?
