I draw my pen away from the envelope, sticking in onto the present, wrapped in Christmas wrapping paper. I take a step back, nodding in approval at my work. With a huff, I stand up straight, a determined look on my face.

"Tikki, spots on," with a swoosh of red light, I transformed into my other half. Tucking the present under my arm, I swing my yo-yo into the distance. With one jump I was airborne, swinging throughout the buildings, one swing after another.

Gracefully landing on the rooftop of an old building, I lookout onto the city, being toppled with gleaming snow in the artificial light, shining from buildings.

The cold seeped through my, what I thought was, a cold resistant suit, making me shiver. With the reminder of the cold weather, I turned to my partner, just inches away from me, who was still surprisingly silent.

"I got you something," he finally spoke, turning his attention away from the sparkling city. In his hand was a small, ring shaped box, wrapped in velvet.

I took a moment to analyze the small gift, sitting in the black palm of Chat Noir. My lips form into a smile as I reach for the box, taking it away from Chat's grasp. With one more look at the present, I reach Chat's gaze, giving him a pleasant smile.

"Thank you,"

"Anything for my lady," he took a bow, eyes still captured in mine.

I giggled, reaching for the present still under my arm. I extended my arm for him to take it, a shocked and confused look plastered on his cute face.

"Is something wrong?," I asked.

He suddenly became panicked, waving his arms around.

"No. No, I just didn't expect you to get me a present,"

"You did for me, didn't you? Why is it different for me to give you one back?" I lifted my hand higher, in a sign for him to take it.

A long hesitation after, he shakily took the gift from my hand, examining the professional like wrapping job. He hummed, furrowing his brows together.

"I-I. You see I don't get presents a lot. I'm not used to receiving things." His focus was glued to the present in his clawed hands.

"I guess we have to change that,"

He looked up, a sincere look on his face, his ears bent down.

"Please don't start getting me gifts on a regular bases now, that's not fair,"

"Not fair?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Do you know how hard it is to buy something for a girl?! A specially one who you are really close to and deserves the whole world?! I don't know if you know this, but the world is not cheap," he exclaimed, waving his free arm around.

I laugh, a slight burn on my cheeks. Thank cheese that it's night and dark. When I finish my short lived laughter, I looked up to see an intense look on Chat's face.

I stiffen, eyes widening, slowly shrinking down from his stare. His eyes were on fire, green flames sparkling, flickering in the winter, night air. Crackles of light bounced off like cinders in a bonfire. Warmth spreading out from his gaze, warming my body in delight.

"Thank you," he let out in a whisper, a slight crack in his voice. "For the gift," he added.

I bring the box up to my chest. Heart unraveling from his tight hold from his eyes.

"Anything for you, kitty" I smiled lightly, pulling him into a hug. His claws scratching at my back, his body tense. I rub his back in circling motions, easing him down.
