Your Pov-

To sum it up.

My day. was. hell.

My alarm clock was unplugged which earned me a lecture from my Boss 'Mr. Caterpillar Eyebrows' for being late.
On top of that Hanji gave me a stack of papers,
laughing maniacally, as the papers were as tall as my 6ft height, that were all due tomorrow while she was fully aware I was already stressed out.

By the time i got out of work it was already past midnight.
Now I was in my car driving home almost passing out by pure exhaustion on the way.
Only 30 more minutes and I can sleep all I want.
Thankfully I'm on vacation till next month allowing me too do as I please.

After a while of driving, I could see my house was close and i immediately let out a sigh of relief. I parked in the space and got out quite impatiently only wanting to fall into my soft mattress. I closed the car door and before i could even take a step forward a rattling sound came from the trash can followed by low hisses and growls.

My exhaustion and sleepiness was replaced by curiosity alovetake quiet and soft foot steps near the trash bin. I hesitantly put my hand on the lid, debating with myself if i should open it. In the end I opened the top not expecting what was inside.....

A dark black ravenett ally cat who looked like he has been through a lot with a skinny and very slim body with matted and wild unkempt fur coat that was in need of proper care as it was to the point were he look sickenly and could clearly see the bones and ribs while he was busy glaring and hissing at a dog with his dull stormy gray eyes.

The poor cat was fighting a possibly equaly beat up dog.

Broken yet strong teal eyes that could hypnotize anyone in one spare glance with ripped up and matted chocolate brown fur that showed his rib cage as clear as day with scars from other dogs or cat fights that might not have even been healed yet which made me worried even more as he looked like he hasn't eaten in days or possibly weeks.

Both were fussing over a piece of trash that has fallen out of the partly full trash bag but stopped to see who opened the bin as they immediately panicked with both of their fur standing on edge when they saw me.

Me being a sucker for animals as just the bare sight of them made my heart wrench painfully. Slowly and carefully, I reached down too not scare them any more and grabed them both from the scruff of their necks.

On instinct, they both quickly fell limp in you hands.
After feeling their almost nonexistent weight my heart started to beat rapidly from nervousness and hurriedly walked inside the house.

I was walking through the hallways in search of my bathroom for giving these two a well needed bath. Taking a turn around the hall, i finally found a restroom and locked the door and turned on the water. I gently layed the cat and dog on the floor as they  scurried off and away from eachother as far as possible.

Thinking that the water was warm enough, i put the pup in the water and the cat after a while of him hissing while the pup started playing in the tub, splashing water everywere.
"Aw, and i just got this shirt..."
I said sorta disappointed.
At those words the dog stoped and lowered his head, whimpering while the cat looked away, ears flattening with head lowered.

I panicked and said "Oh, nonono it's not your fault. Im sure i could find another one."
At this they both looked up at me with 'puppy eyes'. I let out a sigh and began washing the dirt and grime that stuck to them.

When i finished i turned off the bath and wraped them in a towel while they both snuggle into the warm fabric.
"heh you both look like smol cinnamon buns" the animals payed no mind to the mumbling a simply drifted off into a short nap.
