Chapter Six: The Complicated Tales of the Aftermath of the Party
JUST when Emily was finally calm and not on the brink of a mental breakdown she is faced with the tall brunette who she once considered to be a friend until she broke that trust. She stared down at her as if she was nothing, which wasn't a surprise to Emily considering she played a large part in their family's downfall. Before Emily had marked her mate, their family was a rather close-knit one that shared everything with each other and their parents had even acted as a replacement or 2nd parents to those who parents died or those whose parents just sucked at parenting, one of those people being Emily herself.
When both the Alphas and Beta died in one dreadful day, both Leah and Louis had acted as the guardian for both the future Alpha, Beta, and Luna. When Emily's father was also killed that day, they had comforted her while her mother skated off to Mexico while her daughter grieved alone.
"Are you gonna say something or just continued to look dumb?" She rolled her eyes.
"Um, hi Natalie. How are you?" Emily replied nervously.
"Pissed off to be quite frank." She flipped her long hair over her shoulder, "How about a quick chat?"
"I-I."
"Great." She answered for Emily, "Let's go to the patio." She said leaving little room for disagreement, following behind her, Emily couldn't help but feel anxious about what this conversation would entail but being that she had no other choice, she took a deep breath and tried to put her best foot forward.
The two old friends had barely taken a seat on the patio chairs before Natalie begin her verbal attack. "What you did to my brother was fucked up, you ruined his life."
"Nat-."
"I'm not done talking." She growled, slamming her hand on the table. "He's was depressed the whole time, especially in these last two years, acting out, drinking all of the time, failing his classes-."
"Drinking?"
"Yes, drinking and you've caused all of it."
"This wasn't how things were supposed to be when I marked him, hell I didn't even plan to mark him that day. My wolf took over and about time I came back it was too late."
"But it did happen, and you didn't even bother to check up on him. No contact whatsoever in the last four years, what did you think would happen after marking him. He would just be okay."
"How was I gonna talk to him, your parents forbid me from doing so?"
"SO THAT MEANS YOU JUST GIVE UP!" She growled, so close to shifting.
"What in the hell is going on?" Hailee stumbled in. "I thought you were going to the bathroom." She gestured to Emily.
"We were just talking," Natalie replied to her friend as she glared at Emily. "And we're not quite done yet." She said glancing over at Hailee, "Give us a few."
"Nat, I don't think this is a good idea, especially right now." Hailee tried to reason with her best friend.
"Emily," Bianca stepped onto the patio, "I've been looking for you."
"Oh-."
"Listen me and her," Natalie pointed to Emily and herself, "are not done talking, so if everyone could just excuse yourselves, that would be fucking fantastic." She said visibly angry.
"Who are you?" Bianca stared at Natalie with a frown. "And what do you need to talk to Emily about?"
Natalie face Bianca with a fake smile, "Excuses me for being rude, I'm Natalie and I am the sister of this whore's mate. Does that clear things up for you?"
