The Future Alpha... And Ellisa

Chapter 21- Ezekiel

"Call me crazy, but I have a feeling Ellisa and Eric are doing it right now." Autumn says out of nowhere. I drop my fork before it reaches my mouth with delicious Chinese food.

"Baaaabe why the fuck would you say that." I mumble and run my hands down my face. She laughs and continues to pile food into her mouth. "I know my best friend. It's like... you know me and you have a connection right?" She says. I nod for her to continue. "You're my soul mate, the love of life. But she's.... my other half. Well my other other half, if that makes any sense. She's like the sister I never had. We've always been close and I guess that's why we have this small connection." She says and shrugs.

"I'm glad you and my sister are that close. It would've killed me if she didn't approve of you." I say and hold her hand as we continue eating. She laughs. "So do you have training tomorrow?" She asks. I nod as I swallow my chow mein. "I'm learning how to battle against 4 other wolves tomorrow. What about you?" I ask. "We're doing mental training, starting the logical problem training. Hopefully I'll do well." She says then her face goes blank and I already know what she's thinking.

"Baby." I say then move to pull her in my arms. "Don't think that." I say then rub her back. "Think what?" She says, but I know she already knows. "You're going to make a great Luna, don't think that you won't." I say.

She pulls back and thankfully she isn't crying, I hate seeing her cry. "Ezekiel... I don't even have siblings. I don't know how to take care of anybody. The only person I've ever taken care of is me." She says calmly. "Well... you took care of me too." I say and wink. "Not like that! The pack needs a leader and another leader by their side. I don't know Ezekiel, I just... I really can't wait to be Luna but I feel like I need more than just 3 months to train. I need to learn to take care of people and know what they need." She says.

"Then we'll talk to my parents. Extend the time a bit. My dad might not understand since he's been Alpha since a young age, but my mom definitely will. If anything, we could have Axel fill in the Alpha role with Amanda as Luna. I know he didn't want the position, but he could just fill in for a bit." I say, reassuring her. She nods and smiles.

"I know I should be more grateful and appreciative of this role I was born for, but I just need more time to get used to it." She says and I nod, pulling her back into my arms. We then finish our dinner and go to sleep.

Waking up with my mate in my arms is the best thing in the world. What's even better though is waking to my mate kissing all over my face and neck. "Baby wake up!" She says between kisses. When she begins to get lower down my chest, I wake up. "Go any further and we won't leave this room." I say and wrap my arms around her. She looks up at me and grins. "Why are you so happy?" I say and kiss her cheek as I get up to brush my teeth.

"I slept really good. And I missed you and your voice so I had to wake you up!" She says and smiles brightly at me. Goddess, I really loved this girl. After I finish brushing my teeth and mouth washing, I finally kiss my girl. She smiles into the kiss and wraps her arms around my neck as I wrap mine around her slender yet curvaceous waist. "I love you." I say and kiss the tip of her nose. She giggles and kisses me softly again. "I love you too." She says then walks into our room and begins to change. "Why are you changing?" I ask her. "Training. I already took a shower at like 5 a.m. I couldn't sleep so I just stripped and decided to wash my naked body." She says suggestively.

I pout. Sleep isn't worth missing that show. "Why didn't you wake me?" I ask. She laughs and ties her laces on her vans. "Because it was really early and I know you don't like getting up early." She says then pecks my lips one more time. "I love you, see you later." She says and then walks out. I look after her and then back into the room. "Something's definitely up." I mutter to myself as I undress to take a shower.

After showering, getting dressed and asking my parents to speak with them, I enter my dad office and see them both sitting and waiting for me.

"Hey mommy, hey dad." I say. I am definitely a momma's boy. Ellisa is a daddy's girl. My mom stands to hug me and look at me. "Oh my baby boy is grown up!" She says and I see tears well up in her eyes. "Baby." My dad says and looks after her sadly. "I'll always be your little boy mom." I say and smile brightly at her. She sniffs, wipes her eyes and nods while smiling back. "Of course you're my little boy. I still remember those days when you couldn't stand to share with Ellisa. You wanted all the toys and my attention to yourself." She says and I hug her again.

Then we sit down. "What is it you wanted to talk to us about son?" Dad says. I shift in my chair to get comfortable. "We need to extend the time for us to take your positions." I say quickly and easily. Dad gives me a confused look. "Why is that?" He asks.

"Autumn... she's not ready dad. You guys know what she's been through, what she's had to endure. She's not used to being somebody's leader or taking care of others. But she's trying mom and dad. She's doing all this for me, for the pack. The least we could before we lay all these responsibilities on her shoulders is give her a bit more time to get used to things and the power." I say. They stare at me then at each other and I know they're mind linking.

"Honey... we kind of already payed for our flights." Mom says. I inwardly roll my eyes. "Seriously?" I say getting a little angry. "Well it's not just about the vacation honey, it's time you take power of your pack. This pack won't be our responsibility in a few months, it'll be yours. But... if she needs more time..." she says then trails off looking at dad. "We are willing to stay in control for an extra 3 months." He says curtly.

I smile at them and stand up, hugging my dad then my mom. "Thank you guys, so much!" I say then we tell each other our goodbyes and I walk back happily to Autumn's place. I decide to prepare her some lunch so she can eat something when she gets back from her training. Then I write a note and post it on the bedroom door telling her that foods in the microwave.

I can't wait to tell her the great news.
