Ruby's pov

Once Cinder left Roman and I alone I started to cry again. "Red please don't cry I'll make sure nothing happens to you" Roman said drying my eyes. I look him in the eyes. "R-really you would do that" I said looking into his green eyes. "I would do anything as long as she stops hitting you and making your beautiful face bleed"he said looking into my silver eyes. I blush and try to move my arms."I can't do it. I just can't" I say looking away from his beautiful green eyes. "Ruby look at me...please look at me" he said. "No I can't look you in the eye right now...I'm sorry" I said starting to cry and continue to try and set my arms free. "I can let you out" he said. "But I thought you hated me" I say looking in to his eyes again. "I Did but seeing you like this breaks my heart" he says as he places his hand on my chin. I blush. "R-Roman w-what are you doing. Why are you being nice to me" I said giving him a half smile. "I only wasn't nice before because I didn't..." he said cutting himself off. "You didn't what" I said tilting my head slightly. "Nothing" he said removing his hand from my chin. "Are you ok Roman" I ask him looking down. He moves behind the chair I am sitting on. "Here Red" he says as he untied me. When he untied me I fell to my knees. He moved in front of me. Once he was close enough I hugged him. "Thank you so much" I said. "You don't have to thank me. You shouldn't be here...I should" he said letting me go. "None of us should be kicked to the point that we are bleeding" I said trying to stand. "Careful Red" he said. Once he said that I fell into his arms. He held me close and squeezed me tight. "I-I thank you. Thank you for everything" I said. "Its just  I Don't want anything to happen to you" he said. "Why are you being nice to me. I could have killed you" I said. He looks at me. "But you didn't. I could have killed you, but I didn't" he said lifting me back into the chair. "You could have taken my dust" I said. "She going to try to break you. Don't give in, don't let her break you" he said as he tied me back up. "Why are you telling me this" I said. "I'm going to get you out" he said. "Why do you want to get me Out. Me of all people" I said. "Well you don't deserve this" he said as he walked towards the door.
