I can't believe my eyes. Is this real? There's no way they could be here. The Cimorelli sisters, here in Glen Allen. Being shy and all, I get scared, so I go back outside to get some air. I start jamming out to my music again, and I start singing along. Finally I decide to go back inside and get a bottle of water, but as I turn around, I see them again. They're just standing there gawking. I take one earbud out and keep walking, but Christina gets my attention.
Christina: Excuse me. Excuse me?!
Me: M-me?
Christina: Yes, you. Come here for a second.
Me: O-okay...I shyly walk over to them, head low, and I ask them what's up.
Christina: We heard you singing, and we think you're really good. Amy was slobbering a bit.
Amy slapped Christina's arm playfully, and I cracked a slight smile.
Me: Yeah, I know. I saw a bit of slobber on her chin when she heard me. But I'm really not that good.
Christina: Actually, you are really good.
Me: Is that drool coming from you too, Lisa? All of us crack up as I ask Christina how she knew how to get me out of my shell. She tells me that Lauren is also really shy like me, and I'm shocked. Then Amy says something that I never thought in a million years that she would say.
Amy: Can I get your number? Maybe we can collab sometime.
Me: Uh... Sure. 804-500-7382. And my name is Peter.
Amy: Okay, cool. She puts my name and number in her phone, then I bid them goodbye. I go back to McDonald's for a bit to eat something, then I start looking for a place to sleep. Thankfully the weather is nice tonight.
I fall asleep, finally, while thinking I just had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity (to me anyway)....
