"happy birthday andy-yah, happy birthday to you."
hansol's loud voice sings throughout the hotel room. andy groans against her pillow as her brother tries to get her to wake up.
"you know, i'm surprised you're not excited for this day.
i mean, for all i know, someone might be
getting seungcheol-hyung for her birthday.."hansol trails off making the grumpy eighteen year old sit up straight. these past few weeks she had been too busy on her debut party planning that she had forgotten about seungcheol's response.
she grins widely, literally jumping down from her bed. the next thing she knows, her mother comes in with stylists who will help her get ready for her debut. she turns around and stares at the beautiful gown in front of her.
this was it. seungcheol will finally give his final say to her by today. if he arrives to the party and accepts the invitation to become her escort, it means he had changed his mind and he'll be giving her a chance.

"it's time to go to the venue."
her mother's voice rings as andy stares at her reflection in the mirror. it was five in the afternoon and she still doesn't have news about seungcheol. she wasn't upset, however, because she's still hopeful he'll come. the party hasn't even started yet, there's still more time.
before she knew it, they arrived in the venue. she sees many of her friends and relatives from her car's window, ready to get in and get settled into their seats. andy anxiously looks out the window, trying to search for her brother.
her eyes land on the familiar group of teenage boys in suits talking to one another. once she starts a head count, she notices one was missing. she frowns slightly upon seeing that it was seungcheol who was missing from her brother's group of friends.
andy starts to doubt but she quickly shakes it off because she wanted to believe he'll come to her sooner.
later on, the sky slowly turns darker. the party starts in around forty minutes yet there were still no news about seungcheol. everyone was all settled inside and she was now waiting behind the doors for her parade in. as she waits for the cue, her stylist does last minute fixing on her hair, make-up and dress.
just as the doors were about to be pulled open, she hears the familiar voice shout.
"sorry, i'm late!"
and the debutant turns around to see her seungcheol dressed in a gold suit. he smiles as soon as he sees her, thinking how beautiful she looked. he hands her a bouquet of flowers that suited her outfit very well. a blush crept on the debutant's cheeks as she receives the flowers from her long time crush.
"i'm sorry for making you wait too long.
andy-yah, i've already made up my mind."
