Chapter 1

"Mom! I don't understand why I have to move in with Jennifer! Why can't I stay with you and dad?" I ask getting mad.

"Acacia it's only for the summer. You know your dad and I have a lot of business to take of over the summer and we wouldn't have anytime for you." she's says resting her arm on my should.

"Besides, you've always loved Jennifer. She has been the family's closets friend since you were born, she's even your godmother."

I did love Jen, she was so cool, so relaxed. When I was thirteen I really wanted to go out on a date but my parents didn't want me dating but Jen hooked me up with a co-workers son who ended up being my boyfriend for a year and with the help of Jen, without my parents finding out. Of course they know now that I'm 17 and we all laugh about it and the kid and I are really good friends.

"Fine. I'll go pack. Where does Jen live now anyway?" I ask knowing she moved.

"Los Angeles" she plainly says.

"What?! I'm going to Los Angeles for the whole summer?! Do you know how many famous people live there?! How man extremely hot guys live there?!" I say excitedly.

"Yeah yeah just don't get yourself pregnant. Last thing you need is to end up on one of those teen mom shows." she says with a hint of laughter in her voice.

See, this is what I love about my mom. Now that I'm older she jokes around a lot like this with me and I can talk to her about guys and stuff without it being awkward.

"Don't worry mom. I'm just gonna go pack." I say running up the stairs.

Los Angeles here I come!
