"See, I actually meant it when I said you're still my sister Sara." Jack said as he presented an origami crane for his sister.
"I didn't need reassurance, but thank you." Sara said with a cute little laugh.
"I'm glad you managed to get him back on your side." Stephanie said.
"Ehh, not exactly." Sara replied.
"I mean, the girls did provide alot of help, but I could never leave my sister in the dust like that." Jack said.
"Just as long as they're treating you well. If not, they're dead meat." Sara and Stephanie said simultaneously.
"Jinx! You owe me a can of 7-up." Sara shouted before Stephanie could react.
"Dag nab it!" Stephanie said to herself before retreating to the kitchen, presumably to get a can of 7-up for Sara.
"You've got quick reflexes, you know that?" Jack asked.
"I know I do, and I'm not afraid to use them." Sara replied.
"Well, it's getting late. We got school tomorrow, and you know we can't afford to miss any school." Jack said, noticing the time, and they hit the hay for the night. The next day, they did their morning routines like normal, had Stephanie drop them off like normal, and Jack rushed off to find Cheyenne and the others, like normal. Jack sprinted about the school, having already stashed his backpack in his locker beforehand, before stopping to find Cheyenne and the others just around the corner.
"Yo!" Jack said happily.
"Hey there honey!" Cheyenne said, surprising Jack for a few seconds.
"Hold up... Honey?" Jack asked.
"Yep. Don't mind if I call you it." Cheyenne said, and with that, Jack managed to put two and two together to realize that Cheyenne was flirting with him.
"Are you hitting on me?" Jack asked.
"You would never admit this in the public, but yes, you adorable little guy." Cheyenne replied, a flirty tone in her voice.
"But there's no such thing as love at first sight though..." Jack said to himself.
"Oh come on Jack, you don't believe in that?" Emily asked. "What did your parents hammer into you- oops! I mean... Never mind!"
"It's okay, I feel a little more comfortable talking about it now." Jack said. "They always kept me away from girls, as they were "toxic", but spending time with you gals, you have thrown that right out the window, especially you, Chey." Jack added, slinking his arm around Cheyenne's waist. "You, are an angel."
"Aw thanks! That's so sweet!" Cheyenne said. "I've never had that kind of compliment before." She added, surprising Jack.
"Wait... Really?" Jack asked.
"Well, you can probably tell from what happened yesterday, most, if not all of the boys- well, except you- are infatuated with me, and their hormones go wild just because I'm around." Cheyenne explained. "You're different. You never eyed me in your free time. Instead, you simply minded your own business, and those times you talked to me, it was actually fun to talk to you. All the other guys that tried to strike up a conversation with me were making eye contact with something other than my eyes, and one even mentioned a fantasy involving me..."
"We all became her closest friends because we were the ones that chased them off." Kiera explained.
"I see." Jack replied. "And regarding the guys' "compliments", what do they say?" Jack asked.
"Oh you don't even want to know." Cheyenne said jokingly. "Though if you want to, I can whisper a few to you."
"Okay, shoot." Jack said, bracing himself for the worst. Cheyenne bent over and began whispering into Jack's ear. She hadn't even gotten to the fourth "compliment" the guys gave her before Jack visibly felt like throwing up. "How do you take that?! I would have knocked them silly if I were you!"
"Heh, being punch happy does not compliment beauty very well, right girls?" Cheyenne replied, laughing before Kiera and the others nodded, trying to stifle their laughs.
"Right." Kiera said.
"Let's just be glad I didn't eat right before hearing what I consider verbal assault." Jack chuckled.
"You definitely are so much better than those mutts." Cheyenne said.
"I'll admit, I sure act more mature than they do." Jack said, letting go of Cheyenne. "I'm willing to do alot, just for you Chey."
"Aw!" Emily said.
"So, are we a thing?" Jack asked Cheyenne as Emily and Kiera squealed like girls would meeting a celebrity they idolized.
"Yes." Cheyenne replied happily before offering her hand. Jack gladly walked over to her side, entwining his fingers with hers.
"Aw! Chey's got a boyfriend!" Maddie said cheerfully.
"He's actually my first one in, forever!" Chey said happily.
"Why, it's the same here!" Jack replied. "But I will make sure it's the best for the both of us."
"May I say the same." Cheyenne replied as the two strolled down the hallways, hand in hand.
"Maybe it its true... Love at first sight..." Jack said to himself as he gave Cheyenne's hand a gentle squeeze, which she returned a few seconds after as the two continued to stroll around the hallways with a copious amount of time before the bell.
