  *1 year later*
Jack laid down under a willow tree, enjoying the beautiful view of his forest home and waiting for his human friend to come. The guardian sighed softly as he then started to feel the cool evening breeze through his fur, revealing his old wounds. Lifting his head up, he started seeing gleaming white dots in the sky. "Mark usually isn't late...." Jack told himself, getting a weird feeling in his stomach. A yell suddenly interrupted his thoughts, making his ears perk up. Another yell was heard, but sounding familiar. Mark? Realising that it was him, the guardian stood up quickly and ran towards the yelling. As he was running, the only sounds he could hear was his heartbeat, his hooves hitting the ground, and breathing.
Mark was surrounded by the southern wolf pack. The same pack that almost killed him. Except there was more wolves this time. Tougher wolves. The Alpha wolf was the same, but had a scar on his eye from the guardian's hooves. "We meet again, human.." The wolf growled. Mark understood what the wolf said by the growl. The alpha grinned and looked at two of his wolves then nodded his head towards Mark. Swiftly, the two wolves followed orders and charged towards the man. Mark then closed his eyes until suddenly, he heard whimpers and growls. Opening his eyes, he saw the guardian stand in front of him, lifting his head up with dominance and glaring at the wolf pack. Jack! "Ugh! You again?!" "Yes, me again" Jack snorted, glaring at the Alpha. The wolf growled, which the other wolves took as a signal to attack. Some of the wolves charged towards the stag and leapt at him. Jack reacted quickly and whacked them off with his antlers, making them whimper. Mark didn't take any chances and took a machete from his back and stabbed a wolf that came running towards him. More wolves charged towards Jack as he then stabbed one of them, his antlers piercing through the wolf. Using the wolf as a bat, Jack then whacked the rest of the wolves with the body, sending them down with a thud. Antlers now covered with blood, the others slightly cowered with fear and ran away. Meanwhile, on the other hand, Mark pierced his machete through a wolf, the end of the weapon showed behind the creatures back. Pulling his machete out, the wolf dropped dead, its fur matted with blood. Mark glared at the last two wolves, which cowered in fear and ran away. The man grinned and put his bloodied machete away on his back. "Thanks Jack..." The guardian smiled was about to respond until the alpha wolf charged then leapt towards Mark. Swiftly, Jack pushed Mark out of the way, making the wolf jump on the stag and bite on his neck. Hard.
