***Xana's P.O.V***

I grew ecstatic waiting for Aloise's arrival. I had just learned that she was on her way home with Ella and my dad. I couldn't wait to wrap my arms around her and never let go.

"What time my dad say he would be here?" I anxiously asked Andy, peering out the front window.

"He said in a few hours, Xana," Andy replied.

"That's too long," I groaned.

He shrugged at me and grabbed a soda, cracking it open and taking a sip.

"So...what were you and my dad discussing?" I asked, curious.

"Uhh...I was j-just talking," He said nervously.

"Ok," I responded, furrowing my eyebrows and nodding.

He scratched the back of his neck and paced around nervously.

"I can't wait to see her!" I cried cheerily.

He chuckled and nodded.

"I'm excited, too. Aloise is a sweet girl,"

"That's for sure. I wish I could've made a better first impression. Goddammit...I was such a bitch," I admitted, making an angry expression at myself.

"You can't keep beating yourself up, Xana! Yeah, it was a terrible thing to do but it's over and done with," Andy said.

"Yeah, yeah you're right. It haunts me, though. Every night I lay in my bed regretting my past decisions. I can't look at her without seeing her terrified face looking up at me when I was beating the shit out of her," I said, sitting on the couch and putting my head in my hands.

"Come here," He said quietly, pulling me into a hug.

"I feel awful," I said, my voice muffled from being buried in his chest.

"It takes time to get better," He said.

"I know...I wish I could take it back," I said, pulling away from him.

He gave me a sympathetic grin and was interrupted by his phone ringing.

"Hello? Hi again," He added with a grin,"Really? See you soon,"

"So your dad and them are closer than anticipated, they'll be here in about 10 minutes," Andy said.

"Yay!" I yelled, jumping up.

10 minutes later, right on time, my dad pulled into the driveway. I make a high-pitched noise with excitement. When my dad walked through the house, with Ella and Aloise in tow, I froze.

"Xana," Aloise whispered, staring at me.

I began to sob as I ran over to her and hug her. Choking sobs enveloped her as well, and we hung on to each other for dear life. I never wanted to let go.

"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry," I kept repeating, hugging her tight.

"I love you, Xana," She said through her sobs, triggering even more from me.

"I love you, too," I replied.

It felt good to cry, it made me feel human for a change rather than an emotionless blob who just existed rather than lived. I was so overjoyed to be able to hold Aloise again. For once in my life, I actually felt as if someone truly loved me. And let me tell you, that was the best damn feeling ever.

(A/N the sequel is up! What do you think?! The girl on the cover is my vision of Xana. If that is a picture of you or someone you know TELL ME AND I WILL EITHER TAKE IT DOWN OR GIVE YOU CREDIT! I love you all)
