Sneaking Out

I was nervous to say the least as I snuck out of the Hufflepuff common room to meet Fred, George, and Vanessa. I found them by the Ravenclaw common room entrance. They led me out to the lake. I could tell they were examining me. Checking to see if I would be able to be part of their group. I hoped it would work. I wanted it to.

I was always t he misfit. I hated it but there was nothing I could do about it. These three seemed different than everyone else. They seemed accepting. I felt a pair of eyes on me. I wasn't sure who's but I looked at the three friends I had made in detention. I made eye contact with George. We held it despite our blushing cheeks. Fred nudged him and he looked away. What was that?! I thought to myself.

"Hey, I think we should get to bed. I'm a bit tired." Vanessa said. She threw a wink towards George and grabbed Fred's hand. "Nighty night!" She led Fred strategically back inside.

"Um...I guess w-we should get to bed t-too." George said quietly. I nodded my agreement shyly. George grabbed my hand and ran, leading me through the shadows back to my common room. "Night." he smiled and kissed me gently.

"G'night George." I whispered, slipping into my dormitory.
