Chapter one

When it all Begins

Arabella's POV

"Finally, the time has arrived! We will now present our greatest award of the night!" my father joyfully exclaimed, "Martijn, would you join me on stage please?" Martijn happily skips up on stage next to my papa. "As of tonight, Spinnin' Records, awards Martin Garrix the Platinum Album for 'Animals'! Congratulations Martijn Garritsen!"

The crowd starts to cheer with glee. Martijn looks in my direction and shoots me a wink. I let out a little chuckle.

We have been best friends ever since he started working for my papa. I don't know what it is but he just makes me feel so safe. We know every thing there is to know about each other, even the little pointless stuff. I dot remember a time where I never felt butterflies in my stomach when he came near me. It was like a secret liking I had toward my best friend. I just don't want anything to ruin our friendship.

As I was getting some refreshments I could see Martijn walking in my direction. I turned and hugged him with all I had, "Congrats Martiii! I'm so proud of you!!!" I started laughing.

"Thanks Bella, this is almost the best day of my life." he whispered with a smirk.

"Almost?"

"Uhhh.... Ha yeah.." he started scratching the back of his neck.

"Well....? What's the best!?" I laughed waiting for a response.

"You really wanna know?"

"YESSS! Just tell me already!"

"Ha okay. The best day of my life, was meeting you."

I was shocked. I didn't know what to say. Yes maybe I do love my best friend, but is he meaning it in a way that I want it to be.. Or in a way where he's happy to be friends.. I smiled, "Awe, Martijn! That's so sweet!" I hugged him tighter.

After the party died down a bit my papa called for me, it was time to go. I said my good-byes and see ya laters. I hugged Martijn and said I would see him tomorrow.

But I didn't know what would happen next.
