Chapter two

The accident

Martijn's POV

I watched as Bella and Eelko walked off to the parking deck. As the nights events replayed in my head, I couldn't believe what I did. I could not believe that I told her how I felt. I do love her, but she's my bosses daughter, my best friend! What if I just ruined every bit of our friendship?! I had to find out.

I ran out into the thick summer air and caught Bella before she got in the car. "I'm sorry, Eelko, may I have a word with Bella before you leave? Please it will be quick." I must of sounded insane cause I was panting like a dog.

"I guess, but be quick. The Misses is waiting for dinner."

I took Bella's hand and we walked over to the ledge of the parking deck. Her expression was nervous.. I bet mine was too....

"Bella..." I sighed, "okay, I'm just gonna say it okay.."

She let out a little giggle,"okay?"

"Bella, I love you.. Not like, your my best friend i love you.. Like I want to be more than that I love you.."

Her expression didn't change.. It stayed shocked and confused. I started to panic. But slowly she looked down at her shoes and blushed.

Sweetly she said, "Martijn, you have no idea how much I wanted to say that to you." She looked at me with those two, ocean blue eyes that any man would melt over. "I love you too."

I looked into her eyes and brushed back her long golden hair behind her ear. "Good, you don't know how happy I am to hear that." I said as I swept down and gave her a peck on the cheek. I knew her father was watching so I didn't get to serious.

"I'd better go, mama is waiting at home."

"I know, be careful.. I love you Bella"

"I love you too.. I will"

She walked of to her dads black Range Rover, turned around, and threw me a wave before she hopped in and left. I watched them pull out before getting into my car and leaving. Being so close to the new year I was worried for their safety.

Just as I was about to pull out of the parking deck, two police cars sped by followed by a fire truck and an ambulance. I feared the worst.. I quickly followed behind the flashing lights. My heart was racing as I arrived at the scene of the accident. I pulled to the side and jumped out of my car. I could barely see the cars, but I could see enough to know that there was a white SUV and...

A black Range Rover.

My heart sank. I ran through the crowd and up to the tape. I slid under the police tape and started calling for Arabella. Suddenly someone grabbed my arm, Eelko..
