Dick Grayson sits on his bed staring at the soul words on his arm, the black lettering confusing him greatly. His mother hand told him that she didn't know what it meant and he hadn't asked Bruce if he knew what it meant.
In all honesty, Dick thought this whole soulmate thing was stupid. It's true it makes things easier but Dick would prefer the adventure of finding his own soulmate. The mystery of even never knowing. Yet do to some mutation, they now know.
He sighs lightly and flops back, pulling his sleeve back down. Dick glances at the time and nods, only 10 minutes till dinner then him and Bruce are going on patrol. He sits up again and stretches before heading downstairs.

The thing is that when you meet your soulmate you normally say something, but what should you say when said soulmate doesn't react at all when you first speak to them. That is the exact problem Dick Grayson has right now.
So apparently Kid Flash, Wally West sidekick to The Flash, is his soulmate. Yet when Dick first spoke to him, nothing changed in his anything. Not I'm his face, his body, the his breathing, even the cold night air between them stayed the same. Isn't something supposed to happen?
Maybe the color of his words are black because of this. The fact that nothing changed......Maybe Wally is Dick's soulmate but Dick isn't Wally's. It would explain why the normal tinned red or pink wrighting is tinned black instead. This means Dick will never be happy and have a happy ending.
Oh why does this have to be like this.
