God, I hated living with those Shadowhunters, but the City if Bones was far worse. Not only were those disgusting Silent Brothers direful, but the cells stank to high heaven. My pink satin dress with red and gold roses was ripped and wrinkled beyond repair. I constantly suffered nightmares about Nate and his trickery. As I sat in my cell, not caring if I lived or died, a blond head darted across my line of vision. Thinking it was just another wishful image of Nate, I ignored it. Just as it dashed away, it skidded back. He pulled out a long skinny stick, said a strange foreign word, and the lock on the cell popped and the door swung open. As he held out his hand, I couldn't help but stare. His dark blue eyes that popped against his pale skin held emotion beyond his years. His enchanting features rose into a smirk as he caught my eye.

"Are you coming or not?"

"You expect me to go with you, even though I haven't the faintest idea who you are?" I couldn't help but be skeptical, despite his handsome looks.

"So you want to stay?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Fine, but at least tell me your name."

"Draco." It was short, only two syllables, but in those two syllables lived a world of feeling, passion, hatred, longing. I felt as though there was a magnetic pull toward him. I reached out and grabbed his hand.

"Oh so you're not going to tell me yours?" He said as he pulled me up.

"Jessamine." He spoke in words that I'd never heard before, yet somehow they made sense.

"Well Jessamine, we'd better get running." I had no idea how he'd said this so calmly, as silent brothers were currently filing in to the cell chamber.

"Lead the way!"
