CHAPTER 2- Control
Then the thing slithered through the front windshield, at me. If Azlyn had looked pale before, now she was absolutely white. She grabbed my arm and pulled me through the bus's roof emergency exit. The bus was curved on top, so I straddled it while Azlyn stood gracefully on top.
She kept murmuring to herself, and the then the strangest thing happened. She pulled out a lime green bandanna and tied it around her head. "Hey, I-" I started to say, but was cut off once again by the monster as it relized where we'd gone. It rose to its full height, which was actually quite terrifying, as it had risen to over twenty-five feet tall!
Azlyn looked up at the sky, which suddenly looked stormy, and spoke something. I watched her lips move as they had in my dream, over and over. Suddenly I realized what she was saying.
"Φέρτε τις καταιγίδες!" She screamed. Bring the storms.
I thought she was crazy at first,( who wouldn't think you were crazy if you stood on top of a bus chanting in Greek?) but I soon joined her in our frantic plea for help.
Just like in my dreams, Azlyn dropped to her knees as her plea grew softer, until it was no more than a whisper. The sky twisted and bowed (if you can't imagine a sky bowing imagine it folding over halfway) and a storm took place. But not a normal storm. The clouds twisted out of the sky and became dark as they took grip on the monster, pulling it into the skies. Just like that, Azlyn slid back through the exit. None of the kids seemed scared. It was odd, but Azlyn didn't sit back down. She ran out the door dragging me with her.
"Azlyn!" I said. She turned. "What is going on?"
"Haven," she said, checking her watch nervously, "I don't have time to explain it to you right now, but you are in grave danger."
