In Norwegian, you don't refer to your romantic partner as a 'boyfriend' or 'girlfriend'. You say 'kjaereste', which is gender neutral and literally translate to the 'dearest'.

In Swedish, you refer to your bf/gf by saying 'älsking' which translate into 'my beloved one'.

In Finnish, you say 'mulkvisti' which means 'one I don't hate as much as the others'.
