It's not a feeling we come by so easily
People have adapted to rejection
We find ourself holding our breathes in shock
As someone offers their warmth and protection.
People of all ages have someone to love
But no one really knows where they will one day meet
But once you do it's a fantastic feeling
One that no other emotion can beat.
To love someone other than yourself
Being held so gently, to them you succumb
It reminds me of how times used to be
And how it will be for me in times to come.
