You sat on the sofa in the bunker watching Dean. The way he moved, the way he smiled, the way his eyes twinkled as they lighted on the last piece of pie in the fridge. Even the way he stuffed said pie in his mouth, like the world was going to end any minute. It was unquestionable.
You were in love with Dean Winchester.
You don’t know when it had happened, or how, but somehow, someway, you had fallen for him. The flirty hunter had stolen your heart, and he didn’t even know it. You were so lost in your daydream you hadn’t noticed that Dean had spotted you.
“(Y/N)?” Dean called. “What are you looking at? Do I have something on my face? Is it pie?”
“Oh, nothing, sorry,” you flustered, feeling your cheeks going red. You bustled quickly off the sofa, practically running to your room before you got even more embarassed. You threw yourself face down on your bed, trying to hide the tears that threatened to flow.
Because despite the fact that you were in love with Dean, you knew there was no way in Hell (well, maybe then) that Dean would ever like you back. And it hurt. Without you realising, your bedroom door swung open, and you felt the bed dip as an extra person sat next to you.
“(Y/N) are you ok?” Dean asked. His hand came up to rest gently on your shoulder, and you sighed deeply. Slowly, you sat up, wondering how you were going to phrase your confession.“No, Dean, I’m not. I am in love with you, and I don’t know why, but I am. And its okay, I know you would never feel the same, but it hurts seeing you so oblivious to it all the time. After all the bad stuff that has happened in my life, you seem to be the one good thing, but I couldn’t
even fall in love with someone who loves me back.” You sat there in stunned silence, just as surprised as Dean at your outburst.
His eyes flickered down, and then up again, and his face twisted in confusion. Your heart began to pound in your chest as you waited for a reply. Suddenly, he was leaning forward, and his lips pressed hard against yours. You closed your eyes in shock, instantly moving your lips in time with his.
The kiss was gentle, yet firm and it seemed to touch you all the way to your core. After what felt like an age, Dean pulled back, his eyes locking onto yours. “Don’t you ever say I don’t love you, because I’ve been loving you since the moment we met, thinking that all this time you hated me.”
