Nick is working which kind of worries me. I mean we both are paranormal investigators but he is extremely brave to live in a haunted location for three days. That's commitment. I can barely go one night with barely any sleep let alone two or three. That's scary as fuck. He doesn't have his phone on either. We turn our phones off while investigating to prevent them from interfering with the equipment. I want to call him so bad but I can't.

Anyways, I'm at home. Alone. Because unlike Nick. I do not have a wife and two kids. Which leaves me to do what ever I want. But right now I don't know what to do because I can't cheat on Nick. Right then my doorbell rang.

I opened the door and there was a baby in a car seat with an envelope on the sleeping child's small body. I was shocked but the first thing I did was take the baby inside. I opened the envelope and pulled out the paper.

Dear Zak,
I'm sorry to bother you. It's just. This happened and I wanted to tell you before we broke up but I didn't. Anyways. This is Adrian Jesus Bagan. He is two months old and definitely yours. Im sorry, I can't have a kid right now. Where I am is not the right place for a baby. He is Sager with you. The papers are there for you to sign for full legal custody of him. Please keep him. He needs a good father.

I looked at the baby then at the envelope. I can't give up a baby. Especially my own son. A baby sounds fun anyways. I guess I will sign for legal guardianship. First we need all the supplies to raise a baby.

I looked over and Adrian had opened his eyes. They look like beautiful blue diamonds. They literally melted my smile along with his toothless smile. "Hey Adrian. I'm you dad" I smiled softly causing him to make babbling sounds. I smiled and took him out of the car seat. "Oh that car seat doesn't look very comfortable" I cooed while rocking him back and forth softly. "Nick will be home tomorrow. He said he would call me when he was finished" I said then realized that I'm talking to a baby. He started whining a little so I set him back in the car seat. He slowly drifted back to sleep. Right when he was fully asleep Nick called.

"Hey, how was it?" I asked with a smile. "A little freaky but that's normal" he replied and I could tell he was smiling. "Did you just wake up?" I asked, hearing the sleepiness in his voice. "Yeah. But I'm all caught up on sleep" he replied. "Hey, uh. When you get back I need you to come over as soon as you can. It's extremely important and I need your help" I told him. "Ok. I'll go over there after I land. I'll tell my family that my flight was delayed because of technical errors" he told me so I smiled and just sat in silence for a moment. "Hey. I'm about to leave. I'll see you tomorrow morning. Early." He told me "ok. I'll see you tomorrow" I replied before he hung up.

I looked at Adrian and sighed. He needs a bed. "How about we go shopping?" I sighed then got ready to leave. I picked up the car seat and took Adrian to the car.

I couldn't figure out how to get the car seat in the car so I gave up then noticed that my ex had left a diaper bag too. Handy. Then Nick can help me. "oh good" I smiled then took Adrian back inside with the diaper bag. He can sleep in a dresser drawer on the floor tonight.

I put a thin pillow in the bottom of the drawer then passed the edges so he wouldn't hurt himself and laid Adrian in his make shift crib. I covered him up then watched him sleep. I smiled and got in bed myself.

I woke up to lips against mine so I looked up to see Nick standing over me. "Good morning, sunshine" he smirked so I pulled him back in for a kiss.

I heard a whimper so I checked on Adrian and he's awake. I walked over and picked him up. "This is what I need your help with. My ex from a while ago just left him on my porch with a note and a diaper bag. She wants me to have him. But I have no idea how to take care of a baby" I explained and Nick was in awe of Adrian. "How old his he? And what's his full name?" He asked just mesmerized by the baby. "He's two months old. And I didn't name him but his full name is Adrian Jesus Bagan" I told him and he frowned "his middle name is jesus?" He asked so I thought about it "she was latina so I'm pretty sure it's pronounced hey-sus" I explained so he nodded. "First, you need the stuff to take care of him. A crop, food, clothes, diapers, toys, and baby eating utensils" he explained while I wrote it in the notes of my phone. "Then you will need to find a doctor to give him check ups every few months. And since you travel alot and you don't want to expose a baby to paranormal places I would find a nanny since you don't have a wife to watch him while you're gone" he explained while I typed more. "Can you show me how to put the car seat in the car?" I asked so he nodded.

We walked out to the car with the baby in the car seat. He showed me that the bottom square part came off and you buckle that in then snap in the seat the baby is sitting in. "Thank you" I smiled so he nodded. "Go to a baby store. You'll get better help there" he told me so I smiled. "Thank you so much. I love you" I told him before he stepped forward and kissed me. "I love you too. Now I have to go surprise my daughter at school for lunch so I'll see you later" he replied so I nodded.

I got dressed and got everything Nick told me plus some suggestions from the ladies at the store. I started turning my best guest rooms into Adrian's room. He deserves the best. When I finished that it was time to eat so I fed Adrian and put him to bed afterwards. Man I'm tired now. That was a long day. And I still have to put together the toys. Fuck setting this shit up sucks.
