It is lunchtime. Taeyong is feeling ever so dizzy because he’s been up all night chatting to random people in Yongsan on his phone – and by people, he means girls. Apart from the occurrences of the previous night, Taeyong had never considered another guy for his love interest. He has had a restless night full of questions. Am I gay then? But I have never been interested in any boy before. Is it just Jaehyun? Are we friends or what? Is it weird for me to like him? Does he or will he ever like me? He never thought he would turn out to be gay since he has never had such experiences before. So he talked to girls all night and finally found one who is up for a date. He wants to experiment if he can still romance with a girl.
“Are we all getting together at my yard to watch Man United versus Liverpool after school is over?” Johnny shouts over the loud noises in the cafeteria. “I have managed to sneak some beers and my parents are out.”
“Everyone except Taeyong!” Ten replies. Taeyong winces.
“Why not?” Jaehyun asks.
“He’s got a date with some girl from a nearby school.”
“It’s not a date!!!” Taeyong yells. Everyone teases him. It was supposed to be a secret!! What would Jaehyun think after all that has happened the night before? He mentally curses at Ten because Jaehyun has started giving him weird looks now. He avoids any eye contact with Jaehyun for the rest of lunch.
The soft and pleasant sound of the classical music playing in the restaurant makes the atmosphere seem calm despite the hectic business going on. Across the table sits a petite girl. She is conventionally pretty and has an air of haughtiness. Taeyong doesn’t like her one bit already. Don’t be judgmental, he tells himself. She might turn out to be much nicer. They make an attempt at some small talk but it does nothing to make her any more likable. Taeyong regrets planning this date. It is supposed to distract him from a certain someone and give some answers to the countless questions he has had. Nevertheless, his mind can’t help but wander back to Jaehyun. He wonders if he angered him or he just doesn’t care all that much about him. Am I overthinking this? After all, Jaehyun has many others in his life so maybe, he doesn’t give a flying fuck about what I do. When he snaps out of his thoughts, the girl is still droning on about how the lack of zero fat items on the menu is troubling her. Taeyong has forgotten her name yet again after all the times he checked his phone to get it right. Is it Nayoung? Or Nayeon?
“Look” he says, finally. He hasn’t talked for so long it even startles the girl. “I’m so sorry but I just remembered I have something important to do so I gotta go.”
Her face goes red in what seems like a mixture of humiliation and disgust, a complete 180 degrees’ turn from her former demeanour. “Excuse me? You are the one who asked me out!” she says, vexed.
“Yes, and I am very sorry. I will pay the bills on my way out.”
Taeyong walks aimlessly around his neighbourhood after his failed date. Somehow, his feet lead him to Johnny’s front porch. He can hear people cheering inside. Someone probably scored a goal. The door suddenly opens and Jaehyun comes out alone with a cigarette in his mouth. He walks right past him without giving him an ounce of attention.
“Hey” Taeyong call out, following him as he walks away from the house.
There is no answer.
“I’m sorry, alright? I know I have been stupid. Just don’t ignore me” he pleads.
“Why would you be sorry?” Jaehyun stops walking and turns around to face him.
“I- I left abruptly last night after that and now this….. I was just confused.”
“That’s alright. It’s not like we’re anything” he turns back.
“No, Jaehyun-“ Taeyong grabs his hand and stops him. “I just want to talk.”
“Alright” Jaehyun says as he frees his hand from Taeyong’s grip. “You can come up and talk.” His place is just a few blocks away from Johnny’s. When they get in Jaehyun’s flat, he lights up his cigarette.
“I didn’t think you smoked. It seems like a very unlikely thing to do for someone with a sense of justice like you” Taeyong states.
Jaehyun snorts.
“Sorry. I’m not in a place to criticise you.”
“I only object when people hurt others. I don’t care if they do it to themselves” he says.
“Fair enough.”
“So, what is it you want to talk about?” Jaehyun enquires. He stands in front of him with his hands on his hips.
Taeyong shifts uncomfortably in the couch and starts fidgeting. “Umm…… IThinkIMightBeGay.”
It almost sounds like gibberish but Jaehyun seems to have heard him out. “Have you had enough of lying to yourself?” he asks.
“What do you mean ‘lying to yourself’?”
“Well, you were clearly kissing me last night for a good couple of minutes. And it definitely did not seem like an accident” Jaehyun smirks.
Taeyong blushes and gives a sheepish grin. “I won’t deny it.”
Jaehyun leans towards him and presses his knee gently against it crotch. He smiles when he feels the growing hardness against his knee. Taeyong moans in pleasure, blushing even harder. He wants more of this sensation that makes his head go fuzzy. Jaehyun’s eyes widen in surprise when Taeyong grabs his collar and pulls him to kiss him softly on the lips. He caresses the soft features of Jaehyun’s face and kisses him once more – this time with more intensity. Jaehyun’s mouth parts, letting out a moan and Taeyong’s tongue slips in. At this moment, he doesn’t care. He wants all of Jaehyun. Jaehyun holds him tightly – somehow, Taeyong’s body seemed to translate his passion to him. He pulls him up and presses him against the wall. Taeyong wraps his legs around his waist and rests his arms on his shoulder. The rhythmic thrusts of Jaehyun’s pelvis send his nerves in a frenzy. He arches his back, rubbing his member against the other’s. His head is pulsating, heart throbbing. He can slightly taste the bitterness from Jaehyun’s smoke. There are kisses all over his neck as Jaehyun carries him to the bed. They unbutton each other’s shirts in a haste. Taeyong pushes Jaehyun onto the bed and kisses him on the lips, neck chest and then the navel. His hand travel downwards and creeps into his trousers. Jaehyun pants as the other rubs the length of his cock. His face is flushed red, hair ruffled. Taeyong feels strangely and embarrassingly proud that he is making him feel good. Jaehyun looked like some kind of an exquisite golden sculpture; his sweat is glistening in the dim yellow light. Taeyong snaps out of his trance when Jaehyun gets up and kisses him deeply. He can feel his lips curve into a smile. It made him happy and warm inside. He feels a bit tired; there is a mild thumping in his head and he can feel his breaths getting short and ragged. He lies down on the bed with Jaehyun and rests his head on his chest, soon drifting off to sleep.
