Karoku was continuously nudging his best friend on his side while they were watching their underclassmen on their booths.
Well ,they were only watching one person.His best friend’s long time crush ,a genius second year named Gareki.
Messy Jet black hair ,soft pale skin ,blue-grey eyes ,rosy red lips and best of all ,drop dead gorgeous body.Those are the characteristics that will make a guy or girl fawn over him.
And that was what happening right now.Because ,today was their school’s foundation day and all levels in high school should run a booth to earn money for their school’s fund.And here they were ,as school’s Student Council ,monitoring how they were doing.But mostly ,to see if it is really working.
It is.Especially the Second Year’s Class A booth A.K.A Kissing booth.Yogi had a hunch that almost half of their population was lining on it.To be specific ,lining on his crush.
This event was considered as once in a lifetime event because it’s not a secret to them that Gareki was a little bit aloof ,snob ,cold ,and quiet and no one can get near him except his best friend Yotaka.
The second year was always calm and collected that even the seniors felt intimidated by him.
It’s not a secret to them too that despite the attitude ,Gareki was really popular to both boys and girls.Many confessed their feelings.Letters ,gifts ,and live confessions but unfortunately for those people ,Gareki had no intention of answering any of them which made Yogi sad and disappointed at the same time.
That’s the reason why until now ,he can’t even talk to the Second Year without stuttering like an idiot and why he can’t confess his undying love for him.
“Yogi ,this is your chance.Your only chance to kiss him.” Karoku finally said ,breaking the news to the Student Council President.
The others sighed in relief and thanked the Vice President.It’s up to the blonde now.
“W-What? There’s no way I would do that! It’s embarrassing!” Yogi said while blushing madly but his friends can tell that he’s killing the student that was currently kissing Gareki on his mind
“Come on ,Yogi.Like what Karoku had just said ,this is the only chance you’ve got without being obvious about your feelings for him.” Jiki tried to convince.All of the members of Student Council knew about the blonde’s feelings for the genius Sophomore.
Well ,it was kinda obvious with the stuttering ,blushing ,and gibbering mess Yogi in front of Gareki.They will not be surprised if the raven already knew about it.
“It WILL be obvious! Why would a Student Council President want to kiss him?! Only one thing! It’s because I have a crush on him!” Yogi half-screeched ,half-whispered.
“Then play it off like a bet.It’s not like someone will ask you.” Kiichi rolled her eyes at her dramatic friend.
“Even if someone did ,then just say that you lost a bet.” the blonde’s best friend added.
“Stop being a coward ,Yogi.Gareki’s not the only popular here on our school.You also have many fans out there.” Tsukumo added.
“Gosh ,you’re so lame.Just go Yogi.You’re thinking too much!” Kiichi almost ALMOST exclaimed.
“I-I really can’t.” Yogi whispered while staring at Gareki longingly.
The others sighed while shaking their head in defeat.
“Then I’ll do it.” Jiki suddenly said ,immediately making his friends snap their head towards him with a look of disbelief.
Jiki? Jiki will pay to kiss Gareki? NO WAY!
Those two have been on a bad blood because of their rankings and competitions in school.Gareki and Jiki would always on top one or two in general ranking with a point difference.On competitions ,they were either tie or placed next to each other.No one was brave enough to join their rivalry.Not even Tsukumo or Yogi.
So with Jiki saying something like this ,the world must be ending.
“Are my ears failing me?” Karoku asked with wide eyes while staring at Jiki.
“Did I hear everything right ,Jiki?” Kiichi asked too.
“If you heard about me wanting to kiss Gareki then no Karoku your ears are not failing you and Yes Kiichi you heard it right.”
“Are you serious?!” They both asked at the same time ,earning weird looks from some students.
“Yeah.Yogi’s not the only one here that wants Gareki.”
They all glanced at each other as the President chuckled nervously.
“What do you mean ,Jiki-kun?”
The eye glassed man smirked.
“Well ,Gareki is drop dead gorgeous and he’s really really intelligent.No one can blame me if I have a little crush on him.Besides ,we’re always together you know.Even if we’re not on the same sides ,we’re always in the same room ,same position or next to each other seat.” he stated obviously.
"But I thought you hate him!" Kiichi protested while giving a suspiscious look at Jiki who just shrugged it off.
"I do.But my hate for him was just because of our rankings.His looks are very different matter."
"I won't let you kiss him." Yogi firm voice shocked all of them.Yogi never sounded like this before.
"So..." Karoku started as the blonde suddenly walked towards the line in front of Gareki and stood there with blank expression.
The students gawked at him.Even the kissers beside Gareki.
Yogi stood out among them because he's really tall and everyone from other lines can see him especially with his blonde hair.Whispers rang around Yogi.
Just like what Tsukumo had said earlier ,he was popular too.With his looks and socializing manners ,the girls wanted to flirt with him.Boys wanted to get a taste of him.

When it's time for Yogi's turn ,his and Gareki's eyes clashed together.For the time being ,the two felt like they were the only people on that place as they continued to stare at each other.
Yogi can't help but to admire the shorter boy.He really is gorgeous.Pretty damn gorgeous.
After a minute of just staring ,a Second Year beside him cleared his throat ,snapping the two out of their trance.Yogi glanced at him to see Gareki's best friend Yotaka ,watching them with amused expression.
"Um ..I-I uh ..want a kiss?" Yogi stammered out before blushing madly when he realized what he said. "I-I mean ..."
"Well ,obviously ,that's why you are here." Gareki rolled his eyes while staring at the blonde.
"Don't be rude ,Gareki.He's our senpai." Yotaka bemused while wiggling his eyebrows at the ravenette.
"Uh..It's fine.Um..so.."
Gareki sighed and pulled the taller by his tie.The students were shocked to see Gareki gave a kiss on the lips.
The kissing booth wasn't supposed to be on the lips but on the cheek. So why was the Second Year genius kissing their President for a full five seconds on the lips?
"That was five yen." The shorter boy mumbled as a pink blush creeped out of his face.
"Uh...w-what?" Yogi said dumbly before shaking his head."Um ,yeah.5 yen."
After paying ,the two stared at each other again.Their faces were both flushed.

They heard a groan beside them.
"Guys ,stop eyefucking in front of us.Just date already!" Yotaka exclaimed ,making the two avert their gazes.
"Um ,are you free this afternoon then ,Gareki-kun?Can we-"
"Yeah ,sure.I'll see you later ,Yogi." Gareki finally smiled for the first time in his high school life.And Yogi suddenly can't breath.
Gareki was so handsome.
"Yes ,yes.See you."
Yogi was about to leave when Gareki stopped him.
"Wait."
The blonde looked at him confusedly before his confusion turned into a shock then embarrassment when Gareki kissed him again on the lips.
"I'll give it to you as a free.Sorry for being rude."
Yogi was speechless and numb when he got back to his friends.
"What happened? What took you so long?"
"And why the hell did he kiss you TWICE ??!!"
The blonde blinked at them before breaking into a wide grin.
"I've got a date."
