~24: promises~

I tiptoed and looked through the window of Xiumin's class. I haven't seen that boy in ages!! Ever since he went back to his parents, he doesn't sit with us at lunch anymore and we never see each other in the hallways. Today, since it was finals week, I finished my test early to wait for him. There was 1 minute before the bell rings.

"Wendy! Come! It's buy 2 for 5$!" Baekhyun dragged me over to the boba stand downstairs.

"Since when did you ever care about sales? You're rich." The bell rung. "Yah!! I finished my test early to go see your brother but now I have to go to my second class! I won't get to see him again until tomorrow! Yesterday was Dina today is you what's tomorrow?! Chanyeol?!" I stomped off.

"Sorry.." he handed me a boba and pouts.

"Aw it's okay. Just don't do it again." I ruffled his hair as he smiles.

"I see you're in the 2 for 5 too huh?" Someone wraps their arms around me.

"Go away." I push Dina off.

"I'm sorry for pulling you off during the wrong time. I might be rich but I still like discounts." Baekhyun smiles at me. "I promise you get to see him tomorrow. Promise promise promise."

The next day, I did the same thing and waited in front of his class. Today, I allow no distractions.

"Wendy!" Jody runs over to me.

"No, I'm not going anywhere." I stammered.

"We were going somewhere? I just finished finals early." She said. "Oh wait! Are you waiting for??" She winked at me.

"Yes I am." I smiled at her. "Go fetch your Kyungsoo."

When the bell rang, he was the first one to come out of his classroom.

"Sup." He held my hand and walked me to the end of the hallway.

"How's living with your parents??" I asked.

"Horrible, you're not there." He pouted. "Since we have a free period next, let's go somewhere. Just me and you. To make up for the 2 weeks." I smiled and nodded.

We spent the whole day by ourselves. First, he drove me to the beach. Then, we went to eat in this fancy restaurant and talked about finals. After that, the sky was getting dark so we went to a little hill to look at the stars.

"This is so pretty." I said in awe. "I never seen this many stars so clear before."

"Just remember me as a star. You might not always see me but, I'm always there." He kissed me on the forehead.

"Aww you're so cheesy today." I hugged him around the waist.

"I actually came here cause I have to tell you something important." He said. "No matter what happens, you HAVE to trust me."

"Of course." I smiled at him.

"Even in really bad situations. Like really bad. Even if I turn my back against you, just know I'm doing it for me, and for you."

"Okay then, promise me you'll tell me everything. Like ALL your secrets. I wanna know, I might not seem smart but I want to help. And I can't do that if you don't tell me. Even if it hurts my feelings, I want to know. It's better than keeping it from me. Because the thing is, I'd find out sooner or later." I held out my pinky.

"Okay, I promise." He attached his to mine. "Here." He hands me a glowing star. "Keep it with you. Cause after today, we won't see each other much anymore. It's glass so don't drop it clumsy." I took the block and held on to it.
