Chapter Two: Fun and games

Twelve years later... A/N: in the last chapter the little boy was Jesse.

Jesse's POV

"Petra?" I said knocking on her door. "Yeah, Jesse?" She responded opening the door. "I was wondering if you wanted to go to the fair that is being held tonight with me." I asked her, hoping that she said yes. I just don't want to go with her sister, Lilly. She has a little problem.... she always gets drunk. I don't want that to happen again. Also I might have a crush on Petra, I know, you might be thinking. You can't date you're sister!!! But to be honest, she is not really my sister. She and her sister were found in the forest by me and my parents when I was five. So we didn't really adopted them legally we just took them home with us. "Sure, I will go with you. When is it?" She said snapping me out of my thoughts. "6 to 11, but it takes an hour to get there so we will probably have to go at 5 or so." I replied. "Okay, see you......" She said. I looked at the clock that is in the hallway. "In about.. an hour." I replied, it was 4 o'clock. "Okay see you then!" She said and smiled as she hugged me...tight. when she let go I said, "okay see you" and I walked of. I heard her shut her door, I went to my room and put on something casual. My usual white long sleeve shirt and jeans with my suspenders. I went downstairs to get a snack before I went to the fair later. My mom was down there, she was washing the dishes. "So, Jesse hunny who are you going to the fair with tonight?" She asked me, "I am going with Petra, mom." I responded. "Oh, really not Lilly this time?" She asked surprised, "well we both know we don't want to deal with a drunk Lilly do we?" I said, opening the pantry to get a granola bar. "No we don't." She replied laughing a little bit. "Be back at 12!!" She said as I left the kitchen. "We will!" I said before heading back upstairs.

An hour later...

I was walking to Petra's door and I was getting nervous, I mean I do have a crush on her! So I knocked on her door and she opened it. "You ready?" I asked her. "Yes, you?" She answered. "Yeah, let's go" I said and grabbed her by the hand and walked down the stairs to the kitchen. "You guys be careful okay!" My mom yelled, "we will mom!" We got in the car and drove off.

An hour later.....

We arrived at the fair at 6. On time, we were actually on time! We walked and got some tickets and went to ride some rides, we ran into Lukas on the way to the Ferris Wheel. "Hey Lukas" I said, waving to him "Hey Jesse, and.." he said looking over to Petra. "I forgot that you never met Petra! Petra this is Lukas. Lukas this is Petra." I said introducing them to each other. "Hi." Lukas said holding his hand out for her to shake. "Hello." She replied, shaking his hand. After awhile of talking we went our separate ways and me and Petra got on the Ferris Wheel. Me and Petra got in one of the carts and we went up, and up, and up, until we were at the top. The Ferris Wheel stopped to let people of the ride. Me and Petra locked eyes and she started to blush. We got closer and I put my arms around her waist and she put her arms around my neck. I closed the gap between us and we kissed for awhile. When we broke apart for air, we were as red as tomatoes!! But then the ride came to a end and we went and enjoyed the rest of the night.
