You waited, eyes slightly swollen from all the crying you had been doing the entire day. It had been a few days since seeing your dead brother walking and breathing, and yet you were still a full-on water-sprinkle when it came to the thought of his existence. Your parents worriedly checked up on you constantly, and you lied. You lied through your teeth. Because, although you were still agitated over the fact that Helic lied to you, underneath all that confused anger, you understood him.
You understood why he seemed to still want away from his family. A family he doesn't dare call his own anymore...I'm okay with that. Whatever finally makes him a happier man, I'm okay with now.
Sure, the 'happy life' he called for himself was an illegal one. It was something that could get him into a lot of trouble if he were to ever be caught or resurfaced again. To the outside world, he'd be known as a criminal...labelled as a criminal and nothing more. But he was your sweet older brother who chose this path for freedom. You felt comfort with your parents and with people you love, with Jungkook. While Helic felt comfort with business and power trips. Both were the same, although incredibly different contrasts.
...and you knew, you just knew that if you imposed any of your ideologies onto his choice of lifestyle, you'd lose your brother again. That isn't what you wanted ever again, so you kept an open-mind.
You were willing to keep an open-mind forever if it meant you'd be able to see your brother occasionally.

Jungkook was the happiest the moment the screen had your view come about. Grinning hugely, the maknae's excitement was through the roof as he instantly greeted you.
Laptop balanced in his hands, his lips were puckered as he playfully brought the camera closer to his mouth. Laughing when he brought the screen back to a normal level, he sat up on his hotel bed, positioning the laptops in hopes to greet you properly.
"Ahh, I miss seeing you—"
Jungkook's brows furrowed, voice swallowing up within the darkness of his mouth when spotting your puffy eyes in his laptop screen.
"Wha—" his heart sunk, "What's wrong? You've been crying?"

You snapped out of your thoughts and directed your eyes to the call that was already running. Eyes slightly wide when spotting Jungkook worriedly questioning over at you, you didn't have time to regain your stance and pull out a happy smile.
Instead, you were instantly bombarded with questions from the maknae.
"What's wrong? You've been crying?" the maknae's muffled voice asked, his eyes soft and genuine.
Your heart fluttered at the boy's care for you.
You let out a shaky breath, shaking your head in a slight 'no'. Swallowing harshly, you found it within yourself to formulate your choice of words.
"I, uh—"
He had to know now. Jungkook deserved to know everything that he ever questioned of you since the moment he met you in his dressing room.
>From the ambush in the dressing room, where the maknae thought of you as a crazy sasaeng fan.
>To the second robbery where he pinned you down and almost threw up when you made a remark of him straddling you. "Gross" he had said.
>...the video you had made...pressed naked against his confused form.
>From the gross massages he forced you to give him—once starting your work for the group.
