"I'm not going to school and that is that." I mumbled not looking away from my phone, squinting at its brightness as my fingers worked in the speed of the same light.
Dahyun who had all of it enough, flied out of the kitchen like a mad women and pounced at me snatching my phone away from me and gave me a look of disbelief which I gladly returned."In my opinion, you're going to school and that is that." She gritted through her teeth and I stopped myself from rolling your eyes. "That is your opinion and how dare you have the audacity to-" I gasped at dahyun as she held up my Kum Kum bear with a pair of scissors in her free hand as if threatening.
"You don't dare-"
"Oh I do! You better get your butt off the couch before-" Snap, the scissors clapped together and in an instance I stood up and grabbed for my bag as I plastered on a fake sweet smile on for dahyun who was shooting daggers.
"I'll head off to school unnie~ Now, please do tuck in Kum Kum in Blankets so that she doesn't catch a cold." I smiled before dashing off at unnie's nagging something about umbrella? But I don't give two shits about that.As I slowly paced down my walking, little drops of water seemed to be coming from the sky. Shrugging it off I pulled up the strap of my bag which always falls off my shoulder every minute as if it lost every bit of hope in me.
I stopped in my tracks, hearing some footsteps behind me which had been following me ever since I left my Neighbouring area. Before I knew it, drops of rain started pattering down and filled my ears like a melody, but I snapped back to reality as I put both my arms over my head using it as if it's an umbrella, brushing off the fact that someone was following me and instead jogged my way to school.God must have been upset I cursed, because soon, it started raining cats and dogs, I frantically looked around my surroundings for any shelter but to no avail.
Aish, I just squinched down, it's better to be drenched from head to toe,Yeah let's do that.
But just as I thought of skipping school, an umbrella hovered over me as I curiously looked up to see a guy looking straight ahead.
"I don't want a beautiful girl like you drenched in water, you'll catch a cold." He said as he finally looked down, I cringed at his words.I couldn't see his face clearly because the rain blotted my view and I scowled, "Who are you to care?"
"I am your Father." He said in a dark voice imitating dark Vader. I looked down at my shoes and chuckled, but realised what I did and widen my eyes.
I fake coughed as I stood up caution of my short uniform skirt and fixed it. I really hate everything about this school.I looked up and realised at our close distance as I backed away before the guy grabbed my wrist. "I don't bite...You better be off to school already." He said in a rather calm voice. I nodded and we took off, the cold and awkward atmosphere floating around us. Neither of us spoke as the silence still lingering apart from the harsh wind blowing and the sound of our shoes quenching every step we took in puddles.
Once we reached my destination, I Bowed down at the guy and quickly muttered, "Thank you for escorting me here ajhussi. I'll take my leave now."
Before he could say anything, I turned around accidentally slapping my Long hair on his face, not bothering to apologise, I ran in the entrance of the school remembering I had only 3 minutes to my first class. It was actually my first day but I didn't care.Passing by he corridors and hall which were empty, I dashed through the door of the office quickly forgetting that there was a teacher there and my manners I should pretend. I looked up from my soaked shoes to a teacher with wide eyes.
If they say looks could kill, then I'd believe it. A female teacher with her legs crossed, her face stern than ever with her hair tied in a tight bun, frowning at me, eyeing me head to toe at my drenched form.
"I'm- I ju-just...I'll start again." I stuttered, wanting to dig a hole and bury myself.I walked back out the door slightly closing and entered again this time, bowing down, and introduced myself, "I'm a new student her-"
"Yes I know Mrs Park, I hope you won't repeat that even though I very well know you would." She cut me off like any bitch and told me my first class. Thinking she'll escort me there, I stood there for a few minutes before she raised a brow signalling me to leave.I was already a mess, already knowing how my first year here will go, I was not too excited.
Thinking of making it up, I stopped in front of a door, knocking it it in a childish way.
My first class was humanity's and I was not looking forward to it.
The teacher opened the door, smiling warmly.
Pretty sure that smile will wear off by tomorrow.
"You must be the new student?" She asked and I nodded curtly. She moved aside as I stepped in to be greeted by hundreds of students gossiping, not even bothering to keep their voices Low. How lovely.
"Alright class we have a new Friend here...you want to introduce yourself?" She talked as if she was a preschooler teacher. Nevertheless I nodded again as I cleared my throat, practicing this part for ages.
I don't want to put on a bad impression of myself for the rest of my life even though I missed that chance already do I?I shuffled a few steps in front before I opened my mouth to speak,
"I'm very beautiful."
