The idea for this fic started when we were twitter partying around the time A was playing Lakan in the Enca Requel. Because this fandom is awesome, it didn't take long before fan edits of Lakan with M as a Mulawin circulated in twitter. Thus pordacount, I attempted to storify how Lakan's love story with his deceased wife unfolded. A twitter friend requested to put the story in Watty and it took months before I was able to write a passable oneshot.
Disclaimer:
1) I do not own the characters and any place/concept that relate to the world of Encantadia and Mulawin. I'm also rusty with Mulawin mythology so forgive any inaccuracies in this fic (though in my defense, the requel tweaked what I know of the Mulawins from 2005).
2) This fic is dedicated to AS (@silentlywriting21). Better late than never.
3) There are two versions: One purely english and another where the dialogue is in Tagalog. Since this is a gift fic, I translated the dialogue parts into English, for AS. I wanted to keep the conversations in Tagalog because they're citizens of Encantadia. It seems more lyrical and poetic when Tagalog is used in the dialogue. Or maybe that's just me.
