Sad-
1) an overpowering feeling in your mind that makes you feel hopeless. Gets worse if not treated immediately. If life is nothing but sad, why should I live?
2) an extreme understatement. When you're severely depressed but its just easier to say that you're a little sad. Very similar to "I'm fine." I'm just a little sad.
