"Do I have to?" I wined as the wind ruffled my hair.

"Yes, you do. It'll do you some good to get out for a while," my fellow blonde replied as we walk down the street. She rummaged through her purse and handed me her gift card for the Elijah's Café we were standing in front of.

"Now you go in there, and have a good time," she said as she guided me in.

"But I don't even know the guy!" I protested as we were guided to a booth.

She giggled as we sat, "That's why it's called a *blind date*."

I adjusted my tinted glasses as I shrugged. My friend left and the waiter came to take my drink order. I got some Iced Tea and waited for my company. He came a short while after my second glass. I could hear his jacket shift with his body as he sat.

He ordered and said, "Sorry I'm late. You're Lyn?"

"I am," I replied, "and it's not a problem. Your Adam?"

"Yeah."

After some small talk, we ordered food.

"I come here often," I say taking another sip of sweet tea.

He laughed, "Yeah, I could tell! You didn't even look at the menu!"

I laughed a little too and replied, "It's not like I could either, so I guess it's a good thing I've memorized it."

"What do you mean *It's not like you could*?"

I took off my sunglasses and waved a hand in front of my smiling face,

"I'm blind, Boy Wonder."

I could probably get myself to make this into a full story.
(if I can't think of anything else to do)
