Little Moments
Childhood Pact
I know my sister better than anyone else in the whole world even if she has blonde hair and blue eyes that have no recognition to my own features. And I know that smile.
"Promise me you'll keep your legs crossed at the club?" I ask her as I put down my book, looking up at her.
"Promise," she tells me, but she grins. Her white, square, straight teeth are revealed and her lip ring- the Marilyn Monroe piercing- goes up slightly.
Holding out my pinkie, I glare. "Swear on mom?"
She frowns for a moment at this sacred gesture before wrapping her pink-polished pinkie around mine. "Swear on mom."
I nod, but decide to remind her. "If you break this then she'll come up from the grave to haunt you."

A writing assignment from my creative writing class. I might post more. He called it Flash Fiction. And I like it a lot, so I'll probably add more to it.
