Jackson
I left my mate to go see if my sister had a long shirt that my mate could wear as
a dress. I got a collared shirt for her that would probably go to her knees. When I walked in she was moving around in her sleep looking for me. The mate pull. I sat next to the side of the bed she was on and touched her face, she stopped moving.

"Sarah, sweetheart. Time to get up."

She groaned and her blue eyes fluttered open.

"Hi."

She put the blanket over her head and moved away from me. I chuckled and picked her up along with all the blankets. I sat her on my lap and held her.

"Your warm."

I uncovered her face to see a small smile laid upon her lips. She scooted closer to my chest and tried to go back to sleep.

"Sweetheart, we have to get up. I want to take you outside."

"Outside?"

She had perked up when I said that.

"Yeah, I want to take you somewhere special. My mother took my sister and I there."

She nodded and tried to get up. But I held her there. She looked up at me and I smiled.

"Let me up."

"No. I want to sit her for awhile a hold you."

She sighed and laid her head on my chest. I started to wonder about her past.

"Sweetheart, will you talk to me?"

"About what?"

"About the slave thing. You don't have to tell me, but the other girls that I save are scared. They are broken."

"I deserved what came to me. I talked back, fought back, and even tried to escape."

"You deserved none of that. You are so sweet."

"Jackson, my parents sold me so they didn't have to deal with me. They just wanted money from me. I was only 6."

"How old are you now?"

"16."

I felt my anger boil. My mate shifted in my arms but I was blinded by anger.

"Jackson, it's okay. I'm okay now, please calm down. I'm not ready to meet your wolf yet."

I looked in my mates eyes and saw worry and fear. I grabbed her and hugged her. She hugged back and let out a sigh of relief.

"Sweetie, are you scared of my wolf?"

"I always met the Alphas wolf first. There terrible, mean, viscous creatures. The man didn't touch me, but the wolf did."

"Do you have any scars?"

She nodded against my shoulder, still in hug form. I felt a cold chill go through her.

"Am I aloud to prove you wrong?"

"What do you mean?

"Let me shift, or let my wolf take over. We won't hurt you."

"Let y-your wolf take over. I-I can talk t-to him then."

I nodded and she backed away. I let my wolf take over and Sarah was a little farther away than I expected.

"Sweetheart, come sit. We can talk."

"Are you going to hurt me?"

"Never."

She came over and sat next to me. I wanted her back on my lap. I picked her up and sat her there. She was tense. She didn't lay her head on my chest, she just sat there.

"Sweetheart, please relax. I'm not like the other Alphas. I won't hurt you ever. I feel bad o asked to come out, but your mine to."

She looked up at me and smiled. She started to shift around and relaxed.

"What's your name?"

"Donovan."

"I like it, powerful."

I purred and felt her giggle.

"I'm gonna let Jackson back so we can take you to the spot."

"Bye Donovan."

"Bye Sweetheart."

I came back and my mate was playing with the end of her shirt. A smile was on her lips.

"Did I prove you wrong?"

"Yes."

I picked her up made her stand in front of me. I handed her the shirt and she looked at me and smiled. She walked away and into the bathroom.

A few minutes later she walked out with her hair pulled up and the shirt went to her knees. Beautiful.

Sarah
We walked out of the house and started on a trail. I had never been aloud outside, unless I was being transported.

"Can I put blindfold on you? So it's a surprise."

I nodded and he put a black cloth over my eyes. I felt his hands go on my shoulders and I laid my hands on top of his. We started our walk and the blindfold scare me. A stick snapped and I turned and held onto Jacksons shirt. He rubbed my back and I felt his breathe near my ear.

"Sweetheart it was a bunny. I can sense it. It's okay."

I nodded and went to turned around, but was stopped.

"Do you want me to carry you?"

"N-no just don't take your hands off my shoulders."

I turned and started to walk putting my hands back over his. He stopped he and I heard birds I think. The blindfold came off and a meadow was in view. Birds flew around everywhere. I looked at Jackson and smiled.

"Do you like it?"

"It's beautiful."

I ran up to him and hugged him. He bent down so I could reach his shoulders. I felt him pick me up. I looked like a little kid compared to him. He carried me to the tree in the middle and stood there.

"Can you climb?"

I nodded and he put me down. He climbed a branch up and held his hand out. I grabbed the branch and his hand, to pull myself up. I sat on the first branch as he climbed.

"Thought you said you could climb Sweetheart."

"I don't want to fall."

He climbed down and held out his hand. I didn't want to take it.

"Sweetheart I will fall before you do."

I took his hand and he helped me up to where he was before. He sat on a branch and I was going to sit beside him, but he had other plans. He sat me on his lap and turned me toward him. Life couldn't get better.
