It has been a week and finally my cousins are landing in a few more minutes. Surprisingly The usual phone calls from my mother has slowly stopped. Maybe its because my cousins are finally coming here and they are now her news reporter or she's just too busy helping my aunty planning out lyn's wedding. Among all my cousins i know that lyn has been one of her favourite niece.

"So when are the fam finally arriving?" Ethan randomly asked me. We were both sitting at the library. Initially it was me who went here first and him randomly coming up to me with an intention to 'surprise' me.

"In a few more hours. They said that they'll be going to the hotel by uber and after they've settled in, they invited us to have dinner at a diner near the hotel." I told him without making any eye contact.

"So do you want me to pick you up at your apartment or --"

"Excuse me, mare is it?" An unfamiliar voice approached me. I looked behind only to see a junior of mine which is a Malaysian. I looked at him with a friendly smile and nodded. One thing about me is that a few people around campus are quite familiar with me because i'm quite friendly towards everyone. And i've heard from a couple of people saying that i'm a people person so everyone could randomly come up to me and ask random stuff.

"Yeah, what can she help you?" Ethan spoke for me right before i could answer him. The junior looked abit scared of ethan's mean demeanor. Let's just say that ethan is not the brightest person among guys. Especially guys that tries to approach me. Most of the reason why i can't find a boyfriend is because ethan usually scare most people away.

"Um eth, i think he was talking to me besides why dont you just go ahead first and i'll catch up with you later"

"No im stay--"

"Ethan please" i looked at him really hoping that he could go away and let me talk to the kid forawhile. Ethan stared at me in disbelief, took his bag and walked away like i asked him to.

"Im sorry, i didnt mean to start a fight between both of you guys" the junior apologised looking all worried.

"No biggie he's just being overdramatic. So whats up?"

"I was thinking if you're free anytime soon can you help me with some of the works from Mr Adams class because i'm so confused and also im kinda new here and i really need some guidance. Since you're a malaysian and loads of lecturers recommended me to see you personally, i thought maybe you could help?" He asked shyly.

"Sure. But i gotta recheck my schedule. But hey um, if you need anything we can always kik each other." He nodded and we both exchanged our kik usernames. We both continued talking about our backgrounds while walking out of the library.

"Thanks a lot! I really hope we can be friends" he smiled and walked away.

I smiled to myself thinking that i finally did something good today and im proud of myself. Atleast im not the only malaysian here and it would be great to have someone to talk malay with at times.

"Had fun with your date?" Ethan randomly came out of nowhere surprising me.

"Eth-- i swear to god i almost had a heartattack and oh my god i need to breathe." I was expecting for him to laugh at my reaction but instead when i looked at him he had an annoyed expression.

"What's up with you" i asked.

"You know what? Why did you even say my name? Why couldnt you just give out a random malay guy name to your mum. Wouldnt it be MUCH MORE easier? You could just dated him for all i know." He said all pissed off and not even making eye contact with me.

"What do you mean? Ethan look at me." I forced him to face me by putting both my hands on both sides of his cheeks. After a few seconds he let go of my hands and just stared at me speechless.

"What i was saying was, you shouldve just asked him to be your fake boyfriend than me. He's way more worthy than i'll ever be. He's the perfect match for you. I'm sure your mother would be ecstatic to have him as a son in law rather than me. After all what am i to you, im just a fuckboy who turned soft for you right?"

I stood there speechless because this is the first time he has actually been mad at me.

"Answer me" he walked closer to me.

"Ethan, why do i have to answer to you when i didnt even do anything wrong he's just--"

"Spare the chit chat, i heard what you guys were talking about, seriously all it took was some small talk about 'hey im malaysian too lets hook up' and you just easily giving him your kik. Mare even girls that i hooked up with werent as easy as you stop being such a --"

Out of nowhere my hand went straight to his right cheek before he could finish his sentence. Tears were forming at the edge of my eyes because i knew exactly what he was about to say. I looked at him in disbelief and tried to open my mouth but i couldnt form any words. I wiped my tears and walked away from him. And when i did, i didnt even hear his voice calling out to me atleast. From then i knew that he fucked things up and i dont know how he's gonna make up to this because there is no way in hell am i gonna forgive him for what he said.
