Ashley’s POV:

I finish packing the last box of clothes before loading it up in the car.

“Louisssss,” I whine. “Help meeeeee.” I hear him groan to himself and then footsteps coming up the stairs.

“What do you want?” He snaps. I can tell that he’s stress.

“This is too heavy. Carry it for me?” I flash my puppy dog pout. He sighs, chuckles lightly, and grabs the box out of my grip. He huff’s before walking off. I smile to myself. I love having Louis as a friend. He’s so nice.

“Honey! Time to go!” My mom calls from downstairs. I grab my suitcase and pillow, along with my bag and phone. I descend down the stairs and see everyone standing by the front door. I drop my stuff and run to my older brother to give him a hug. I jump up so he has to catch me. He laughs and hugs me back. I hop down and do the same to my older sister. Out of everyone in my family, my brother and sister are my favorites. I hop down and then go to my mum and dad. Giving each of them a hug. I hear my mom sniffle.

“Mum, don’t cry. I’m only a few hours away.” I reassure her. She nods and lightly smiles.

I then walk over to Johanna and give her a hug, then all of Louis’ siblings.

“Be safe, love. Take care.” I smile as I grab my stuff again, heading out to Louis’s car. I hop in the passenger side after putting my stuff in the back seat. I watch Louis say good-bye then makes his way to the drivers seat.

I wave off to everyone as we drive off.

“Louis, I cannot what to start college! Tribecka is going to be so much fun!” I clap to my self.

“Yeah it is!” He remarks and then laughs. I giggle with him. I plug in my iPhone and crank up some music. Louis and I begin to sing along.

“Lost and insecure

You found me, you found me

Lyin' on the floor

Surrounded, surrounded

Why'd you have to wait?

Where were you? Where were you?

Just a little late

You found me, you found me”

We sing along to The Fray as we head into London from Doncaster. Louis and I have been friends since we were 4. He’s been through everything with me, and I with him. We are now going to college in downtown London. Yeah, I may be 19 and Louis 20, but we both dropped out. Me because I didn’t like Manchester for uni and Louis because he got a soccer scholarship.

I wake up to the sound of Louis singing quietly. I keep my eyes closed so he still thinks I’m asleep.

I’ve always wished Louis would’ve tried out for the X Factor. He’s so talented. He was going to, but got ‘sick’ so he backed out.

“Hey there Delilah what’s it like in New York City. I’m a thousand miles away but girl tonight you look so pretty. Yes you do. Time Square can’t shine as bright as you. I swear it’s true.” Louis sings quietly to himself. I hum along and open my eyes. Louis looks down at me and smiles. I smile back and take the hood off of my head.

It may be early September but it’s freezing.

“Well, look who’s awake.” He says while smiling at the road.

“Sleeping Beauty?” I wink at him once I say that. He laughs and his phone begins to ring.

“Hello?” I hear him answer, me now singing along. Louis can’t find a away to quiet me down because waving your hand in the air doesn’t work.
