Abduction

A Romantic Begininng

     Five years ago, I was abducted. That's right abducted! Let's back up a bit! Hi, I'm Amber, Amber Sands. I'm 21 years old! Anyways, I'm an lets say, not so normal girl. I'm getting off track where were we? Oh right! Let me take you back to the day before my 16th Birthday!
     I was looking out my window, spying on my boyfriend. Not yet at least! My neighbor, Max Briant, is a very cute boy! At least I think so! He was just putting out a sign saying he just started a lawn mowing business!
     "Amber! Breakfast is ready!" That's my best friend Maggie, Maggie Smith.
     "Coming!" I walked into the kitchen, and there was my mom, quirks and all!
     "Amber May!" My mom said. "How many times have I told you to come down on the first call!"
     "A million times!" I replied.
     "Be realistic!"
     "For you it's realistic!"
     "There you are!" Maggie said. Maggie is the normal kid. I'm the weird one and my mom's the quirky one. All Maggie doesn't do normal is where this diamond ring all the time!"
     I think you want to skip to the more interesting part!  Later that day:
     "Oh my gosh, I can't believe you never seen Hairspray before!" Maggie said.
     Of course i was not paying attention, I was spying on Max and his best friend, Joey Hanks.
     (1 minute later) "Oh my gosh, I'm actually doing it! Just ring Max's doorbell, just do it, just do it"
     "Oh come on, just ring it" Maggie said impatiently! She ring the doorbell for me.
     Max opened the door.
     "There he is! Right here, standing right in front of me!"
     Maggie had to push me!
     "Hey! Can you do my lawn?!"
     "You're my first customers! Um, sure! I start tomorrow! Where do you live?"
     "Calm down, Amber just calm down!" I thought.
     "I live across the street!" I finally said.
     "I can come over at 9:00 if that will work with you"
     "That's perfectly fine with me!"
     "Great!" I said. Apparently I said it very awkwardly because Maggie said: "We'll just go!"
     "How could you not have a crush on him!" I finally said.
     "You think he's cute?"
     "Totally! Watching a cute boy now my lawn tomorrow, I can't wait!"
     "It's not just your birthday. It's mine, too!"
     (Feels like a million years later!) "Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to Maggie and Amber! Happy birthday to you!" The crowd sang.
      "5 more seconds!" I thought! 5, 4, 3, 2, 1! The bird chirped 9 times! I ran to the door. Max wasn't here.
(10 lifetimes later) "Thank you for Coming!"
That was the last person. It was already nearly 3 o'clock! I began to lose hope! But around three thirty, I heard the doorbell ring!
     I rushed to the door. There he was, 6 hours late!
     "Sorry I'm late, my mom had this fuss and-," Max said.
     "It's okay!" I interrupted.
     "Amber! My mom yelled. "I'm going to the store!" My mom came with her weird purse.
     "You kids have fun!" My mom said, pushing her way through me and Maggie. "Don't make a mess!"
     "Is it okay my friend, Joey helped?" Max asked, once my mom had left.
     "Of course," I said. I looked over at Maggie. I think that was the first time I saw her blush.
     "Thanks! I was beginning to worry that you may not pay me!" Max said.
     "Bye, honey! I love you!" My mom shouted out her car window.
     "I'll see you later!" I said, embarrassed by her. Little did I know that I would never see her again.

NEXT TIME ON ABDUCTION:
     "I love watching Joey mow the lawn!" Maggie said. "They look thirsty! I'm going to get them some lemonade!"
     "Hey, Joey; Max; you want some lemonade?" Maggie shouted!
     "Sure," they said.
     We walked back inside the house, then, the table started shaking!
