           For My Darlings
Darling put it down,
put down the weapon you're using.
Darling look around,
you're fighting with yourself.
Darling think for a second,
think of who loves you.
Darling I know it's hard,
to be all on your own.
Darling I've been here before,
where the walls get thicker and the air gets thinner.
Darling please be strong,
honey you can do no wrong.
Darling I know what it feels like,
to feel like you're sinking
                                and sinking
                                       and sinking.
Darling lift your head up,
you have to learn to let go.
Darling please understand,
you have so much more room to grow.
Darling can't you see,
I love you so much and I need you here to breathe.

                    You
You've always said,
there's no one else like me.
I can't tell you how many times,
I've been too blind to see.
But you've got this power,
it's like it's healing, it's like it's a blanket over me.
The slightest words you say,
it all goes to my head.
It's like my pulse no longer dreads.
It affects me in a way it never has before,
my heart no longer feels like it's sore.
See, you're not the first boy to tell me I'm pretty or to love me for my wit
but, you're the first boy to make me believe it.
Without you, my mind's unfit,
without you, writing's not worth it.
Not just because I wouldn't have the strength,
but because there wouldn't be much length.
You're in every stanza, in every line.
Your every word is entangled in with mine.
If loving you gives me life,
let me live to tell you this,
It's you.
A million times, It'll always be you.

In dedication to the boy who knows who he is.

                      Rose
Pretty little flower,
filled with love and healing power.
Pretty little flower,
with a lovely red color.
Words, thoughts, and love fills her garden,
there are no burdens.
But as the months go by,
winter comes and drops in like a fly.
It drains her spirit, takes away her air to breathe.
Her stem breaks off,
now there's no way to leave.
There's nothing for her to do but die,
she doesn't have the will to stand up against a wintertime night.
But wait,
the pretty little flower gets stronger,
her velvet petals fall no longer.
There is nothing better then the will to fight within,
my dear where can you begin?
Keep warm, fight, and no longer keep silted
For you too can fight like the pretty little rose who was once so wilted.
